So, I noticed a long time back that the spells that have names use a consistent naming and grammar. Always element first, and then (presumably) effect.

Light: "Tis"

Tis Rozain
Tis Raiff

Fire: "Riga"

Riga Storaema
Riga Dohin

Dark: "Fald"

Fald Ciu
Fald Taiab

Lightning: "Teps"

Teps Oceus
Teps Salrenda

Ice: "Va"

Va Ischa
Va Schia

So, obviously if it's consistent, the dev team had some kind of planned naming system. My question is, is this an actual language? I thought maybe they were using words in Enochian, but the Enochian dictionary I found didn't match up.

If I would to guess, its an alchemy extension of latin. In other words: Its made up with inspiration out of languages. And by keeping it clear to the creators - Teps is officially thunder or lightning when it comes to magic, imbues, items, weaponry and gear for example.

If its a real language, then I missed it as well. I can't write for sure that its made up, but sure seems like it.

In the Shutaro AMA he said they are anagrams of Japanese foods or something.

"Something I can talk about would be, the magic names in Bloodstained are all anagrams and changed from there. For example, Vaskila (the ice magic) is a ice candy bar that's well known in Japan."
