Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Nintendo Switch update 1.04 is now live!
This update includes:
• Stability improvements, such as crashes experienced while interacting with bookcases.
• Fixed an issue with corruption during dialogue which could lead to crash
• Some Performance improvements related to animations
• General Bug Fixing
Regions that were on 1.02 (SE Asia and Korea) will have all the 1.03 updates included.
While we will continue to work on overall performance improvements for Switch, this update brings the game’s platforms to a nearly identical state for content. This is an important step leading into the upcoming Zangetsu release, which we will talk more about in the near future.

I'm suprised you guys don't mention how water is finally displaying properly in this version. It used to be just a line. Now it's a fully rendered liquid. This is a highlight of this update for me. Thanks a lot for the fix. <3

Yes, I agree that the water effects were improved and even added where there weren't any before... NICE JOB!!
Please continue to make improvements/optimizations on the visuals as I adore the game on the Switch. I have the STEAM copy too but it's "magical" to play this great game on the Switch. I continue to believe in IGA and his team to refine the visuals on the Switch version!! |

Also wanted to add THANK YOU for updating the game and dedicating time to improving it for SWITCH backers!! Is there any chance more background assets will be made clearer? Or graphics will be optimized further?

I had completely written the game off when the Switch version released in its old state. I'm very happy to say that these improvements have got me interested in pickin it up. Thanks for all your effort and really turning things around.

Truly great changes for the better except for one thing
In Boss Rush mode for some reason I cannot fight with Zangetsu, every I enter his room he is not there so I can`t advance, is just me?
I have the european physical version

Hey...you posted this below last month, are you just going to keep increasing the numbers? lol They still have not released a Switch v1.04 update for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night for Nintendo Switch and when will the Switch patch v1.04 update for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night for Nintendo Switch be released? Serious answer, if you're looking for one: no one can say when. Will they release a 1.05? Of course. Will it further improve performance/graphics to some degree? Very likely, given what Question said. |

Hello all, i think it is a step into the right direction but the overall graphical presentation in handheld mode is a total mess. The character and environment is blurry as hell and with screen movement the lines and edges of objects are ripping apart.Meeting the first enemies on the ship, I could already see some minor but notecible hiccups. Every now and then when a enemy jumps aboard there was a small stop. Overall compared to the other versions I still can not recommend this version in handheld mode. I don't need a graphical wonder to enjoy a game but if a game gives the impression that you need glasses ot forgot to put them on I think something is wrong. The difference is best noticable after playing the switch version for some time and then have a look at a video of the other versions. Please be aware that I can only rate it in handheld mode because I don't use the docked mode at all.

I just downloaded 1.04 and must say that I have now lost all hope that I had to this game. It is the ugliest looking game I have on my Switch, and least played.
