So short story here, I was up late last night messing around with my vita apps/games and I stumbled upon Castlevania Chronicles which I had not played since I bought it. Booted it up, looked around the menus and found this gem of an interview:

This is such a cool little video interview and gives some insight on why IGA decided to create the "metroidvania" gameplay we all know and love. The fact that he also payed tribute to the original CV with an outstanding remake is also noteworthy, seriously take a listen to the arranged OST _star
