Sometimes it just flat out doesn't out hit enemies even when I'm on target. Anyone else notice this? It's usually most noticeable when I'm grinding on the Amy demon to get their drop items.

its more the whip has a very wierd arc to get used to, especially when youre dealing with enemies above you cause there is a dead zone between the whip and you

It's just a poorly-designed weapon. I don't know whether to attribute it to a buggy hit box or one that's intentionally awkward, but sometimes it clearly doesn't connect as you'd think it should, even on targets right in front of you. Combine that with the long animation and the limited range and I've just never felt it was worth using. A shame, as I like whips and they're a Castlevania mainstay. The swordwhip works reasonably well, but the substandard DPS is a problem. I feel like this weapon is an example of originality gone awry. They undoubtedly wanted to distinguish Bloodstained whips from the others we've grown accustomed to over the years, but originality that impedes basic functionality isn't really worth it.

The whip has a very specific coverage in an arc in front and below Miriam. It will whiff smaller enemies in your face (which is were the dead zone is.) but hit enemies behind your head. It takes awhile to figure out the dead zone, but it is consistent.

I may try to record it next time I'm at that part again. Thanks for the info though.

I'd thought it's hit box went in more of a straight line from above her head to out in front rather than an arc. I'll have to play around with it some more to see.
