I would like it if the player model would automatically point their eyes at the closest enemy or point of interest in the background. I think Grim Fandango would be a good example for how great that can make exploration and finding ways to interact with the environment. This would also make combat more realistic and give more life to the characters.

But what if I'm playing an awesome samurai who doesn't even need to look at the enemies?
You're ruining my spiritual inner eye groove man.

Joking aside, head tracking in an igavania game.. Well that's certainly something I've never thought about. If they could make it subtle but not too distracting, I'd like to see it implemented ʕ•ﻌ•ʔ

I like the idea for the points of interest in the background, sometimes there are amazing details that we missed the first time.

Monsters should keep their eyes on the Playable Character too! These are the sort of details that elevate an excellent game to a memorable masterpiece.

That would be pretty interesting, though we'd have to see how easy it would be to implement in the game.

I agree with the opening suggestion and Cecil's suggestion. Both of these would be really nice. The way I always see features like this is that they don't NEED to be in, that's why they're so great when they do show up. When developers take out a bit of time to do something neat that didn't need to be there is just cements how much love went into that project.

I definitly agree with the idea ! Considering different points of view :
• Miriam could have an head tracking feature just like XombieMike described it. • Zangetsu could have a way lighter tracking (basically just an eye tracking like you can see in anime) and also agree with the fact that, generally, samurai just slash their ennemies in two parts without looking at something in particular, beside the focus point I suppose. • Monsters should also get the head tracking system but something more brutal, fitting their beast nature.
What if we could assassinate one ennemy from the back though ?

I think there should be extra points or the player gets better drops for stealth kills XD
