First I have to say that bloodstained is a great game and there are still a lot of features and DLCs to look forward to, but now, in my 50ish hours of playtime I want to make a few suggestions.
Well, right on to my biggest complaint with this game, which is: the den of behemoths.
This whole zone screams: '' Don't look at me I'm a last minute filler ! '' No for real guys, it has it written all over it's face. The thing that makes it so painfully obvious is the giant gimmick this zone has which is a very lame way of getting up the map percantage quickly and ending the game. Or else why did it have to be giant rooms and enemies ?
Navigating this zone is atrociously unfun, there are recycled enemies right from the very beginnings of the game, the boss fight against the casino guy feels completely out of place, the race against the ninja feels out of place,
the whole zone feels comical and doesn't build up any endgame suspense or excitement and foremost IT TAKES UP LIKE 15% OF MAP COMPLETION. Before coming here I was like: ''oh wow, still 20% to go, wonder what kinda zones are coming at the end''. Until I saw that basically every 10 steps in the den added another 1% to map completion, that was when my dreams of kickass, exciting endgame zones melted away like ice cream in a hot summer day.
I also don't see how that zone would connect to the ice caverns, in a logical way. It's a great game, until you slice the red moon in half and enter the portal, after that it feels kinda weird. I know that if directly compared, Bloodstained is alot more comical and light-hearted than Castlevania, but still you could do a lot better than this.
This zone really really really leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth that also induces a never-ending thought about what the ''original'' planned zones were that were scrapped and replaced with the den.

Another suggestion I have is to not lock higher difficulties behind a cleared game in a easier one. Since there are basically no changes with difficulty apart from invisible ones like monster stats, it doesn't make sense to make people play through all of them, if they wanted to directly go for the hardest. (which is what a lot of people gonna do nowadays)
-------
There also should be a menu toggle for blue shards (namely the ''buff'' shards), which lets you choose from either an on/off state mode (like the bunny already has) or a ''button-down'' mode (which is what most of the blue shards are right now)
Since there will be a time where you've gotten so powerful that you can maintain the buff shards for a very long time (or even indefinitely with a certain item..) the requirement to keep the button pressed becomes a real PITA.
That's for my suggestions right now, any comments are appreciated.
