Has anyone put time into comparing the two? The occasional slowdowns on PS4 bother me, so I was wondering if the PC version runs much smoother. I have a 6th gen Core i5 with GTX 1050Ti.

rav4ishing I'm playing on a laptop on highest settings and the only time I had any slowdown was during the valefor fight with those poker chips breaking.

I have a laptop with a GTX 1060 6gb and a i7 8750h processor. I run Bloodstained on the highest settings with 0 slowdown. No issues with Valefor either. Flawless as flawless can be.

Yän Arcueid BrunestudThanks for replying. I'm contemplating whether or not to sell my physical copy of the PS4 version (for a loss, obviously), and get the Steam version instead.

Also the PC version gets it's patches and DLCs fast without the meticulous approval process typical of console platforms that are constantly checking if the game is "offensive" or trash like that. There's physical PC versions of the game around I think but don't know if they are currently sold.
BTW is the game factory sealed or you opened it?

It's to check the game has a minimum of requirements checked out (being able to see other user's Profiles in an online game, displaying the correct button prompts, not bricking consoles, etc). For example Stardew Valley's 1.3 update for PS4 and XB1 was just denied certification because of one of these examples precisely. So please let's stop peddling this bullshit that because a handful of super niche games that would be lucky to sell more than 50,000 units were denied due to them including schoolgirls of questionable age being molested it means all games get certifiations denied because of this as well. Hell, we sure as fuck know Steam could use a minimum of curation in their store. And if Bloodstained ever gets slowed down by these processes was because of their own incompetence. If anything I judge Sony for not denying the 1.02 PS4 update that made all games started on 1.01 and 1.00 ruined and having to start over.

Only 00.001% of games releasing on PS4 have to worry about being denied certification because of inappropriate content. You basically have to have underage girls being half naked and/or being molested for that to happen. A game like Bloodstained was never ever ever going to be denied over something like that.

Well good luck selling it, if you have a backer version with the slip case and cardboard package you can ask a bit more.

You said console manufacturers look for something “offensive” to deny certification and, like I’ve said, that’s a complete non issue 99.999% of the time. Yes there IS an additional step that PC doesn’t need but to say that that step implies censorship over content is almost never true. If anything I judge Sony for not denying certification to garbage games like Life of Black Tiger or My Name is Mayo.

It would be nice if there was a recent demo based on the latest build I could test the game on. I'd only sell the PS4 version if I feel the experience upgrade is worth it. Thanks though!

So I bit the bullet and ended up buying the PC Steam version for a little over $25. I bought it via Gamesdeal...hopefully it was safe!
So far yes, I can see the difference in performance on my desktop with the GTX 1050 Ti. Not that it's earth shattering, but I have this thing about wanting to play the game at it's best.
1080p game play on the MX150 seems good so far (appears to maintain around 60 fps consistently), but I haven't gone to an intensively graphical part of the game just yet.

Is anyone playing this game at 4k resolution with 60 fps? If so, what video card are you using?
