I'll tack on the "Asynchronous online multiplayer" onto this thread, as I don't recall seeing it in the "13 free DLCs"
If it got shitcanned that's fine in the cosmic sense of things, but there really needs to be some sort of acknowledgement of it officially.

Valiant Stride and the 8-bit Overlord song (its version of Silent Howling) sound like Jake's style to me, but I didn't see him credited on the OST either. I tagged 505 about it. I haven't listened more than a few seconds to the other 8-bit songs on the OST because I want to experience the content they're for first (still assuming those are for classic mode)

I tend to think the soundtrack is incomplete at the moment anyway since we only have the Japanese lyrics for the "Theme of Bloodstained Vocal Version" and not the English version as well as other missing tracks that have been mentioned elsewhere. I actually asked GOG to clear up whether they might have the English language version for their copy (as I expected, their copy is also Japanese).

This was one of the things that I was asking about. I even went on Jake's website and asked through the website contact us, but I doubt I'll get an answer. Everyone seems to only answer on twitter and I refuse to make one.
As far as not getting the English version of the vocal track, it's current form is ROUGH and RAW composition and production wise. It needs a do-over and a touch up. I'm willing to wait.

The retro level and classic mode weren't repurposed into CotM, no. Those are two things I see mentioned from time to time, but they were/are/have always been their own separate things that didn't supplant each other. Over the years an assumption to the contrary has come up.
About async: I'm thinking that it's not as often specifically mentioned because that to itself isn't really a "mode" or piece of content on its own, but rather a feature that will be built/mixed into other things. Asynchronous multiplayer features are things that support what you're already doing rather than something to itself you play, so they probably put the larger items in the forefront when talking about the updates but it's still part of the 13. Async for Bloodstained could be something like how you could list/buy things in the DS games' shop with other players through local connections, but now more widely/around the world perhaps. Or something like the Souls games' and Nier's messages/death markers etc.
It could also be built into versus/online where you can use downloaded ghost data of other players for when you want to play the multiplayer content but don't have a live friend/want to do it offline. That'd be pretty smart.

Thanks for the update! I am not familiar with virt's music but I am looking forward to new music if it comes at a later time (maybe for additional content in DLCs).
