I know Red Ash got (or is till getting) a lot of gruff for doing such a bad KS campaign but this is not about that... this is not about Keiji Inafune's ego, this is not about how Mighty no. 9 campaign was done... this is not about this horrible campaign, it is about the fans and a long awaited game...
I know there are those who want this game to be awesome, but are refusing to fund it cause of bad feelings... but imo it is the game that matters... so I am calling for any fan of the "Legends" series out there and help us fund this project.
so if any out there wants this game even a little please help us out thank you
...and yes I am begging

Considering this game has not been released yet - it doesnt really have fans... and considering we have only known of its existence for 28days. I wouldn't exactly call it long awaited - STOP confusing this for Mega Man Legends... it is not - and considering MN9 was sold to me as a MegaMan Game and looking how that is very different from one... I wouldnt be shocked if this turns out nothing like legends
Issiehn - no the guest is right is some aspects but not in them all -
People have got to realise Mighty No. 9 was nevery really sold as Mega Man - you may have got that from the CONCEPT ART (important to read concept) but the faults on you there...
Now we may not get the mega man game you expected... I myself see it more as a MegaMan X game and im happy with what ive seen so far.

that is your opinion. but people, this is the butthurtness I was talking about with the whole mighty no. 9 thing.
and your really wanted Mega Man to be the same... well it can't be. it is owned by capcom and they are doing nothing with it. MN9 is the closest we will get and downing it before playing it, is sad. I understand it is not what you or a lot of people wanted but it is what we are getting... hold off on the judgement before condemning it
so now you guys have an example of the butthurtness, please ignore this... it's just hate. A successor to Mega Man Legends is still long awaited... regardless if it is a "spiritual" successor or not.

Jeff - Im in no way sticking up for the guest poster here - but you have got the wrong thing from that message...
Lets break it down shall we - you tried appealing to legends fans, but they have made their opinion on this very clear - its basically give me Mega Man Legends III or GTFO, the guest is obviously a fan of legends or a troll... who knows..
There was no butthurt in the comment - or it was certainly not said that you shouldnt back this game because of what happened with MN9 they said based on history they wouldnt be shocked if this game didnt turn out like legends...
People are going about this the wrong way and its why the kickstarter has failed - unfortunately the amount of Legends fans has simply been over estimated - basically they did what every "big time" Kickstarter does and start a Campagin based on concept alone - any legends fan knows what game they are selling, anybody who doesnt know legends has some vague plot and concept art to decide if they should back or not. they dont know how the game will play, what its gonna look like - they have been asked to back the game on good faith alone - its not enough and every kickstarter that doesnt have a "big name" attached to it it - would also monumentally fail if they went up with this type of pitch...
Unfortunately all we have been shown in this kickstarter - is that the you can not have a campaign alone and must at least have done some work before hand...

Iono, I personally never expected a megaman carbon copy. I'd be disappointed if it ever was. I already went in expecting a 2D side scrolling shooter with similarities to Megaman. And MN9 is one of the closest one at that, only with slightly different/additional mechanics. (I personally think Gunvolt is also a Megaman-esque game). That kind of is the whole point of a spiritual successor.
It already got funded and if it ends up being good, it'll have funding for the expanded/sequel content. Getting up to 800k now would just result in the backers definitely getting a bargain, that being two games if they pledged in the appropriate tiers, while Comcept will work without any pressure as they will have secured funding for this entire enterprise.
Back now and you're entering a deal where you get neat stuff at the price of bloating Inafune's ego and allowing Comcept and their hired guns to underperform because they suffer no risk of financial danger if RA1 ends up being horrible.

yeah... it seems that way. but as they and all Legends fans know, that will never happen with capcom sitting on the megaman IP (so sad).
having only concept art is not a KS campaign killer... but it has to have a big name attached, sadly Inafune's name does not hold as much clout as it used to.

I backed it just because I really like mega man legends but I dont like whats going on with MN9 and I dont like at all Inafune's behaviour, however now Im sure that I wont be charged, but the good news is that this weird chinese company is going to fund the whole game.
Redogan: Some people are gonna get to eat a meal and play some games with IGA! Awesome!

LeoLeWolferoux: Sooo... I guess some dude on Twitter stumbled across a financial document from 505 games indicating that a '2nd version' of Bloodstained was in the works??? back sometime in like 2021???
Apr 15, 2023 21:00:49 GMT -6
LeoLeWolferoux: How am I just now finding out about this/ C'mon, IGN. Get it together.
Apr 15, 2023 21:01:12 GMT -6
LeoLeWolferoux: Dunno how this Twitter user came across these documents, tho, assuming since they don't know any further details, it wasn't someone *from* 505 Games. I certainly hope it was obtained via legal means...
Apr 15, 2023 21:02:13 GMT -6
XombieMike: Shortly after 505 let that document go public the official Bloodstained twitter confirmed there will be a second game. ArtPlay is finishing Bloodstained DLC and then we will learn more about the next game.

Redogan: Any ideas on when we get the rest of the updates? I'm still waiting on my physical copy with everything on it for my CV collection.
Aug 23, 2023 12:48:28 GMT -6
Redogan: Nice to see a project update! I like the new Classic 2.0 mode with Dominique. Looks like it plays like a traditional CV game--which is a good thing. Glad to see some gameplay video of Chaos and VS modes, too!
Sept 6, 2023 18:16:32 GMT -6
ShroudedTraveler: Did they say when they were releasing the update with Dominique? I don't recall seeing anything in the video, so I'm assuming not
Sept 7, 2023 16:40:01 GMT -6
Redogan: I didn't see anything about the release date. I just know that it is paid DLC. (So, us backers don't get it for free. Which is fine.)
Sept 8, 2023 16:54:52 GMT -6
ShroudedTraveler: Yeah. At this point, with the game being as old as it is, I'd be fine paying for the content.
Sept 12, 2023 19:00:02 GMT -6
XombieMike: Classic mode 2 will be canon!
Sept 15, 2023 19:55:00 GMT -6
Ciel: Been a long time since I last logged here, but it seems that until we get any news of a sequel, there won't be much to discuss. Oh well!

purifyweirdshard: The discord is certainly where the activity is, but we'll keep this forum up and running as long as we can. Bloodstained's subreddit also still moves along pretty well
