I stopped playing last week when the bug that has the open chest after dragons was revealed in case I had to start over. On Twitter this week, you assured you were holding off 1.02 for xbox so that we could keep playing. I went ahead and started playing again. The game updated to 1.0.0.4 which you assured was just a a localization fix. WELL, i just beat the twin dragons and the chest is OPEN!  So you broke xbox after all! Unbelievable. I don't know why push an update if you weren't confident and assured folks it would be fine and wasn't the bad update. People had invested time and 8 days. Now we're stuck. Can you just "push" the missing item to all users inventory? I feel like people love your product so much, but we just can't play it. It's such a beautiful game. It's heartbreaking. |

The "1.004 patch" appears to just be the 1.02 patch. I actually think they rolled out the wrong version.

I'm wondering if I went out and bought the physical version (I have digital) if I could delete game, reinstall from disk (with wifi turned off) and go back to my save just before the dragons?

xboxuser22 if you saved after the patch was installed then no, your save won't be compatible with the earlier version. Otherwise, yes, you can avoid that issue. You might want to see if you can clear the system of update files for Bloodstained first.

Yeah I probably don't have a good enough save before the update.
What is folks opinion on if they're really trying to get a fix for our messed up saves or will it never happen?

xboxuser22I doubt there will be any patches exclusively to fix that issue, as it's essentially a non issue now. As long as you have one key item at the bottom of the tower you would be able to still beat the game but even then things would be off cause you'd have more of things then normal, the more through option of course it to delete your save file and start over (which is what I did) In any event starting over is faster and easier then waiting for a possible patch.

Thanks, yeah I do not have that key item. The chest was open. I just unfortunately won't get to enjoy the game if I start over because I have so little time for games, I don't have the time to spend six hours again. I have 100 other games to poke around with though if a patch will come. It just ended up worse for Xbox because people played over a week before they broke it. At least PS4 and PC the update hit within 24 hours of the release (if I'm not mistaken). |

Latest word is still that they are looking into a patch that will keep progress for those with the chest bug, and I would think it got more priority due to the Xbox release? Hope remains, but we will see I guess.

I get what you mean that I would be faster this time, but at the same time, the struggling you originally put in helped you level up. Yeah I agree though, hopefully I'll get to enjoy it someday.
