I use Void Ray, it can reach anywhere on the screen as long as there are no obstacles and does decent damage. Aqua stream has a far better dps but its reach is not as long and Tis Rozaïn (the light attribute equivalent of Void Ray) does less damage over time.

8-Bit Fireball for damage, it does insane numbers up close.
For looks, definitely Tis Rozain. Most enemies are weak to light element so it isn't exactly bad either. Great for sniping during endgame.

Nezuto illustrated the saying "one picture is worth a thousand words"...  Clearly Tis Rozaïn is a players' favorite. I guess it is ideal for a "pure miriam" build.  |

Just saw one of your videos, i did not realize you were playing one of those builds. But eh, it won't be "pure" if there is not some light attribute somewhere.

Also pretty partial to Insatiable, solely due to the wine glass/holy water effect......too bad we can't use that while sitting, for full effect. "What is a Shardbinder?" 
Edit: I know it's not a directional, but still.

I grew to love Tis Rozain along with several other people. I'm interested in trying to use void ray on my next playthrough more often. But Tis Rozain tears through everything, and a majority of monsters are weak to or not resistant to Light in this game, due to their nature of being demons.
Teps Oceus and the Chaser Arrow are also favorite directional shards of mine. I get annoyed that some movement shards require the directional slot to be taken to use them.
