Hey, Anyone who's made significant progress, I need a bit of help. I'm stuck and it's getting frustrating. I've got 61% map completion. I found the Gebel fight boss room and got the fake ending. After exploring a bit more, I found the train and the Sorcery Lab. The last major ability I have acquired is the ability to zap through small gaps. But now I don't know how to proceed from here. I can't swim in water, so I can't fully explore the Forbidden Underground Waterway, and I don't have any keys to the various locked doors I've found. I've tried to be as thorough as I can while exploring, but it's getting annoying going everywhere a million times. If someone can put a big red dot on my map i.imgur.com/meOMsrW.png to show me where to go next, that would be appreciated.

EBBenjy There are jellyfish in one of the water areas that drop what you need, initially, to explore underwater, but you won't be able to access chests until after getting a silver shard a bit later. Did you already use Bloodless's skill to drain the blood fountain? That should gain you access to said areas.

No wonder I was stuck. How was I supposed to know I had to farm an enemy for its shard in order to progress?? I wish Dominique or Johannes said anything about this. Instead, Dominique informed me about Bloodless, despite the fact that I had already killed Bloodless. :/ Thanks for letting me know.

No problem and yeah, iirc, either Aria or Dawn had something similar for swimming and it wasn't really hinted at. I think the general assumption was, in both of these cases, that players were going to try grinding out shards either way. Brightside to it is, the jellyfish have a high drop rate for the needed shard. Edit: I just noticed.....is Totally not Alucard wearing his freaking high step shoes? because it totally looks like he is.

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask or not, but I'll try: Where's the Iga fight and Pure Mirriam costume?

Now that I have finished the game, I have thoughts and questions, but I am not sure I want to post them yet, being this new in the game lifespan, even with spoiler tags being used.

Well, pretty far in, have good ideas on where to go, but got the carpenter key never came across that particular door, though...... Definitely had to have missed something in that regard. Good stuff, though.

So upgraded True Arrow is pretty awesome. As long as you can get a clear shot, it's basically a shotgun, and I've killed a couple of bosses with it (normal difficulty) without depleting my mana bar.

What exactly is bloodless? Is she a well documented demon (or her inspiration)? If not why is she in England? She definitely looks like a Yokai (especially the horns), but her attires and manner seems like a European noble woman. Also her essence can be crystallized into a shard.
In Eastern Asian culture, yaoguai (for pronunciation think Fallout series's bears) or yokai are sentient spirits capable of mythical feats and shape shifting (most commonly human) that are bounded to anything from critter to plants and fungi to remains to outright inanimate objects like rocks, and in some cases human. (to my shame I have not yet found a way to induce say a house cat's transformation into a multi tailed demon, which is arguably the most common kind) Many of them are fully arcane in nature but would demonstrate traits of their object of origin (their true form is an exaggeration said origin, like a small cat becoming a massive tiger), thus is different from a traditional hell demon, and common explanation of their origin is Taoism practice of said object and their formation is heavily affect by the locale's Fengshui, which can be considered the flow of spirits within an environment. An important distinction is that Yao Guai requires sustainance and not immutable spirits, and would technically be considered living beings. More evil ones would prey on human flesh to sustain their own existence and further their power.

I just killed the 2 dragon boss. Enjoying the game so far, but I do have one gripe kinda... Game seems less open than SoTN. I mean it's open but I dunno. just feels like I had to kill every boss in that exact order so far, but I think in SoTN you can kinda skip bosses or do them in a different order by this point, but I'm pretty certain you had to do every boss in a specific order up to the point I'm at now since they seem to reward you with explore tools that seem to only let you explore 1 new major area each at this point.
Also, is there some kind of significance to the random 'you can sit down here for seemingly no reason' areas?

Ok, I just have to post about it now, so if you have not completed the game, do not read the spoiler box below. I'm so sad they did my girl Domique like that. I really liked her character, and even shipped her with Miriam, and this is what they do!? A revenge story over what happened to her parents is actually a really good hook, and made me care about her in the story, imagining the kind of pain she must have went through. But then they just made her all for the evulz at the end. They really could have played up the tragedy of her loss and how it effected her for all those years, especially when she protects the little girl at the start of the game. As it stands, Miriam seems less hurt and more "I'mma kill the bitch!" instead more of a "I am sorry what happened to you, but you leave me no choice." Miriam did not even seem all that broke up over it, an issue with the writing, perhaps? I don't expect mgs levels of melodrama, but do feel there should have been a little more here. And at the risk of starting a religious debate, which I really do not want to, you have to figure that when Dom showed her true colors, she denied God, sided with the demons of hell, and when she died, she is now in hell for an eternity. That sucks!!!!!! Damn it, I really liked this character, and you tear my heart out like this??? I guess I got that bittersweet ending I mentioned in a topic I made a week or two ago, just not in the way I imagined it.

COMPLAINT INCOMING: (late game spoilers) Oh boy! I am not happy with how the IGA boss appears in this game
Immediately after the cutscene with Gebel, you see Johannes and Gebel just sitting there in the boss room, unable to be interacted with further. They didn't say where to go or where they were going, or if Johanness was going to try and take care of the corrupted Gebel or what - the conversation just kind of abruptly ends, and the two of them are just...there. So I leave the room and come back, to see what happens, and instead I see IGA and immediately die and have to do the Gebel fight again.
That was a bad cutscene, followed by an extremely badly-placed bonus boss.
Couldn't you have instead made it so you need to interact with something to summon IGA into the room, or have a second secret room behind this one, or SOMETHING that doesn't simultaneously kill the mood of the story and kill my progress at the same time?
I think the easiest solution would be to make it so Lindsay's IGA quest doesn't appear until after the Gebel fight.
EDIT: My apologies. Didn't realise we had to mark spoilers when the thread was itself a spoiler thread. Sorry!

Remember, boys and gals, to ALWAYS return your books to the library or Totally Not Alucard will bury you. Also, personally loved the IGA battle and how he was a callback to how old school Drac had to be fought. Pity the 8-bit dungeon was so short, though, that was also very enjoyable along with the shards obtained.
