Silly and Serious/Regular Cheat Codes - Vote!

I can't imagine a world where a cheat code is going to be in this game that would give an unfair stat/xp/weapon/shard advantage. Too much crossover between modes, and too many online features.

I'm picturing things like unlock nightmare mode from the start, intentional bad voice acting, weird enemy reskins, and just fun stuff like that.

I know, its hard to know whats silly.

Being immortal a whole game is silly in a different way. But even though he wanted to include Silly Cheat Codes, if there are a few in there that are serious and people want it, there might be higher chance to get that request granted.

I think you don't know what "silly" cheat codes are... things like "Turn into Bill Clinton" or "Always moon walk" would be a silly cheat code. Look about 1/3 of the NBA Jam cheat codes.

Yeah Silly + Serious for sure. It's too late to change the title now. But wouldn't you say "Silly" is having maxed stats and running around immortal? I would say.. Its pretty darn Silly.

We don't know how New Game Plus works. Perhaps you have all your old skills from previous game, giving you the ability to really clean enemies quickly and still explore from start with everything unlocked.

I don't know why "big boobs mode" is a thing and why it got so many votes. People are weird...

I cast a single vote for "WHAT!?".

I don't really want hidden cheats to affect the game in any way.

I'm loving this.

So are we planning to include the results of this thread in Design Review, or something? purifyweirdshard  

EDIT: Anyway, here are a few of the ideas I had from a previous thread (I'm sure you can figure out which ones are "Silly" and "Serious"):

Death-Traps: Every single "trap" in the Castle, from guillotines to iron-maidens and spike pits (etc), can now kill the player-character instantly upon contact.

Villainous Monologue Mode: (Not originally my idea.  This is copied from kittenkaboodle 's older post) Miriam will start gloating [during Boss Battles] about her nefarious plans for the Castle and how the Boss simply can't be victorious in the face of her genius. This continues even after the battle starts, until Miriam is hit.

Chibi Mode: Similar to Big-Head Mode. The bodies of every playable, background, and "boss" character (including Bloodless and Gremory) will be super-deformed and cutesy.

Impatient Mode: (Yet another idea by kittenkaboodle ) If Miriam is left in her idle animation for too long, she starts exploring the Castle on her own until the player presses any button.

Tokimeki: (This idea was by Astaroth ) Gives Miriam a certain school's uniform as a costume.

Moonwalk: Your character's basic walking animation now has them facing backwards while moving forward.

Masochism: When the character you control is hit by a weak enemy attack, they'll [occasionally] let out a suggestive moan. Their character-portraits will briefly show an expression of pleasure.

Another insightful feature suited to be only accessible through a cheat should be Debug Test Mode.

In this mode, you have access to *quote-unquote* "the secret sause dev menu you, the player, were never ever intended to be able to access!" or something like that. Players can temporarily break the game all they want, see what happens when they try to spawn Zangetsu inside a brick wall, change location of the save point pointer to now point to a spike floor, etc. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Yet another silly feature should be to play the game with graphics in their "wire mesh" primitive state instead of fleshed out. Maybe at least add adaptive tessellation for a more classy wire-mesh look to everything and less of a "so bad it's good" kind of look.  Though this may not necessarily be an entirely unique idea as Enk's poll covers themes.  So I guess this can be considered a theme.
