Just found out that Kojima and Del Torro are still wanting to continue their Silent Hills project, just without the Silent Hill name. Not sure how far they'll get, but at least there is hope for a game from them in the future! (Also I know it isn't really a spiritual successor since the game will never come out, but spiritual replace replacement doesn't sound that much better). Check out the article here |

Yeah, I read the article where Del Torro was disillusioned with making video games. Maybe Kojima will co-direct a movie together with him? It is disappointing, but it is no surprise that it wouldn't be close to what they were originally aiming for (especially due to having nowhere near the same budget Konami would've given). Thought they were going to try to make a lower budgeted version at least, but it is what it is!

I can only hope that if they try their hands at a game together, that they use kickstater and manage to secure a publisher during the campaign. Unreal engine 4 would help them out greatly! |

Consumer demand for such a thing would be immense. I really don't think them getting funding any sort of way would be a problem. P.T. was -huge-. I was really surprised at how the project was canceled. I thought that Konami would at least salvage it sans Kojima, but whatever.
