Hello everyone. It has come to my attention that progress has been made to assist with backer satisfaction regarding the cancellation of Linux and Mac platforms. My purpose for this post is to alert any affected backer and give a point of instruction for them that can be easily linked to.
On February 15th, 2019, on the Kickstarter comments in a reply to the backer "David", Angel Corlux said the following when addressing the topic,
So, digital Linux and Mac backers, please send and email to orders@fangamer.com. You may reference this post in the email by linking to it.

So since I backed for 65$ (60$+5$ international shipping) I'm already in the physical backer set, right? So this doesn't apply to me then?
Or stating it in a more sarcastic way: Since I payed more then the digital version they can do nothing for me?

If I were a publisher that cared about Kickstarter backers and my reputation in the industry though, I'd at least respond to you in private and make sure you were taken care of in any way that you would agree was met with satisfaction. |

Question, Any comment as to whether or not Artplay/505 is going to honor this offer to make things right? Many of us have sent in an email requesting the upgrade to a physical copy for resale and have heard no response.

Angel-Corlux Any updates on this? I emailed Fangamer shortly after this thread was created. They replied, but they did not offer to update my backer rewards. I pointed out this thread, and they ignored my message. I am now experiencing the same pattern with you. You have answered multiple backer questions on the Kickstarter page since my post last week, and your profile shows that you have logged into this site since my last post. Since Fangamer has sent out the backer survey, I would like to resolve this issue before the end of the month. Do not send me copies of the game that are not compatible with the platform I backed. The project creators have ignored multiple attempts by me to work with them in order to find a satisfactory resolution. I do not consider receiving game copies that are not compatible with my backed platform to be a satisfactory resolution.

Kreble I try to reply to as many people as I can but my main responsibility is leading overall publishing efforts for the game, rest assured I'm not avoiding anyone.
When I commented here months ago now, saying that I was following up with Fangamer, it was not to see if it was possible, but to follow up and make sure the offer was being honored. The offer was already made when I said I would follow up.
Since the offer was made, it was executed on, but past a certain point all platform changes were halted due to getting closer and closer to launch. If you didn't take advantage of the offer to change platforms or to upgrade to a physical version, then you'd receive the original version of the game you backed / ordered.
However, you are still in time to update your addres by this Friday by visiting the backer survey, after which point addresses for delivery will be locked in as well. I understand if that's not the answer you're looking for but I hope it helps provide clarity, thanks.

Angel-Corlux Could you PM me an email address where we can discuss a resolution? Currently, I will not be receiving the original version of the game I backed/ordered, since I backed for both a Linux and a Mac version. Requiring me to post publicly on a third party forum, or to contact a third party fulfillment company, has prevented progress on this matter. Fangamer has ignored repeated attempts by me to engage with them on this issue, and you have not clarified whether they act as representatives of ArtPlay and 505 Games.

Fangamer is the official 3rd party partner of 505 Games and ArtPlay, responsible for all backer fulfillment (games and physical rewards)
At this stage if you didn't email Fangamer taking advantage of the above offer or change platforms when it was possible, you'll be receiving a PC key.
You were not required to post publicly anywhere, Fangamer has handled all backer communication and requests regarding orders since the beginning in private with backers.

To be clear, he's saying that replies from them aren't necessary and your case was completed if you made that timeframe with giving Fangamer this request specifically (the physical upgrade, platform switch, or both). You wouldn't have received Fangamer replies about a refund because that was not offered. |
