Hey
To the point, will a new demo roll out next year or later this year to try things out so Artplay along with the different teams are really nailing what people have suggested and are hoping for?
Would you rather have a showcase and later on a Q&A instead of a demo, if there was any in December or next year instead of a demo?
Thanks

Hopefully that means the full game At this point, after two demo builds (and the fact that I was a bit cold to the last one) I'm honestly just waiting to sink my teeth into the complete experience.

I would assume it would depend on if the game is coming out pre E3 2019 or post E3 2019

id rather they put the money for a new beta into making the game better
that being said, taking the final build of the game once its close to going gold and putting the ship and vepar up as a downloadable demo of the game could be a good way to show off the feel of the game to newcomers and as a nod to all of us who played the first build to see just how far the games come since then

I'd be in favor of showcasing the changes. The last demo had a very satisfying amount of content so I'd just like the reassurance that progress was made.

It does cost money to put out a demo as I recall the devs saying so I guess I'd settle for small video presentations and screenshots. Put that money and time towards making the game better.

HylianMetroid96True, I would settle with normal text updates from here on out. Possibly screenshots.

I'd much rather they focused on polishing this game, making certain it's as bug-free as possible, and get it out.

exileOfc. I just wanna know if they will make sure the fans can help them before its in last minute and things are off. But like I have written before, updates in text would do, just so they get all the time needed. Hope they can fix anything post release in patches when people find groundbreaking exploits and glitches.

I would like a final demo to be made available on all consoles. I may not be a backer but I just want to get my hands on it.

We MAY do a new demo closer to launch as a public demo of the game. It will be an updated version of the beta backer demo with the changes and fixes that we have been working on. It isn't 100% yet, but that's the plan.
And before anyone chimes in, yes, the keyboard will be supported.

One big reason for having demos is to catch bugs, and console versions often have bugs of their own. Might as well get those ironed out when we have the opportunity.

There was never a planned demo for consoles even during the Kickstarter. Although advisable, I just don't think it is any more likely to happen now than when the Kickstarter was live. Don't even get your hopes up for console demos.
Updating the "Beta" backer demo for public release eh? I guess that's good for marketing, but it's one less reason anyone should have backed at the beta level. Beta wasn't even a beta process as described in the Kickstarter anyway. Oh well. It is what it is. Good for the game. Good for the public. Treating the backers just as pre-orders though? That feels bad, man.

I'll be fine with whatever platform the next demo will be available for.
The setup for using a Dualshock 4 on Steam wasn't near as complicated as I thought it was going to be, but yes, I also would appreciate keyboard support.
Looking forward to it! I just hope we get to see a new section of Gebel's Castle, even if it's just a small snippet of an otherwise larger area.

But seriously, a close-to-release demo with all the bells and whistles would be appreciated.

A new demo for wider audiences near release would be a positive over not doing one, for sure, no Questions asked. I'm actually glad the beta process was delivered in the state it was, because I wouldn't want a full unpolished version of the game to make up my impression of the whole experience. If I had first played through SotN without all of its little touches and the nuance all of the programmers put into it, I wouldn't think of that game as nearly as special as it is. I imagine the sprite artist poured out all the polish he could right until the very end as well. The game would also be seen around the world first in that state, and judged for how it was at that point. So many games end up being fine after improvements, but their first impressions spread around can run them into the ground irrevocably.
If it were a fighting game or some other multiplayer thing, I'd be down with a full early beta, especially since because then balance and netcode considerations are huge, and story/discovery of hidden little things would be non-factors or nearly nonexistent. Almost no one plays shooters for things equivalent to SotN's confessional, tiny background features like rats scampering through cracks in the background and the many pointless but super cool things you can get and look at.
The important things imo to give feedback on for a game like this, which they've taken from us and acted on, are movement/feel and visuals. The amount of game they gave us was perfect for just that. I'd be fine with lots of people getting a final polished version of that later (probably a year's worth of "later" that is), as I think the format works well for whetting interest. It's a cliffhanger - "woah Zangetsu is fighting me, Dominique stops him, what happens next?! I need to go ahead and buy this game".
How would save data work between the demo and full game btw? I could see it done one of two ways - buying the game is an "unlock" of the rest of the game, or it's standalone content that doesn't transfer data at all. If they went the unlock path, I think it would need some kind of play time or level/grind cap
