Been there. its just a secret room afaik, nothing new.
Kinda interesting how no one thought about hitting the suspiciously placed candle to ''trigger'' the wall breaking.

I think it's more most people didn't think much of it. I personally never took this route when I played Ultimate mode (except during Zangetsu solos) because the earlier shortcuts were more worth my time. So my lone Zangetsu would be all "hey, there's a room there... ehhh."
I don't believe I've gone through that alternate path in Stage 2 that requires Nightmare mode either.
