Hey all! Was just thinking I was looking at my game controller and realized that a few buttons were going rather unused. Namely shoulder buttons.
I use a wired xbox 360 controller, but controls haven't changed that radically; so I can use this as a framework.
A, X, and Y are used, but B is not set to anything. What if a special move was set there? Of course, you'd have to manually know how to do the move first, but afterward, if you wanted to do the kick, you can simply bind it to that slot and use away.
The right shoulder could be used as well. Perhaps not to as flashy an affect; but what if you could quickslot an item. If you're not a really skilled player, having a potion on quick fire could be helpful. If you ARE a skilled player, being able to set that shoulder to hot-swap weapons may be great indeed.
It's really late in development, so I doubt an idea like this would be able to make it into game proper. Perhaps it could be a later patch? Regardless, what are your thoughts?

Switching weapon sets has been a thing in Igavanias and I always liked it. Shoulder buttons for that would be pretty nice.

In some games, namely SoTN, the X/B or □/o buttons allowed for a second weapon to be equipped and used.

Yep, that was really cool in OoE too! I think they perfected this system in OoE with one weapon or glyph per hand and three equip sets to quickly cycle between.
