Ok, I get where they were going with Miriam’s shard absorption. I was wondering if others had any suggestions on making the shot better.
The reason I ask this is because there are some suggestions that the shot doesn’t exactly look right. And I can see where they are coming from, the transition from “I AM STABBED NOWS” to “I AM FINE NOWS” is instantaneous, and it is hard to see them flow into each other. A smoother transition, or a different pose at the end, may help.

I think a less extreme reaction would be best. If she's on the ground have her stagger forward a step then go back to her original position. If she's airborne have her act like she just got punched. These are just examples but ideally she shouldn't be as intense about it. Just a grunt or "oof" sound is fine.

Or maybe instead of outright screaming in pain, she starts out pained, but turns it into a triumphant shout when the Shard is fully absorbed.

Well, I mean, a 3m long sharp pointed rock punctures your sternum and forcefully assimilates itself into your being. It sounds painful as hell.

My issue with the shot is her awkwardly looking at the camera at the end. Either have her look up, like in a "pain is gone, I am feeling empowered by this new shard", or have her look down with her hands still clutching her chest, like she is still catching her breath from being impaled  |
