More than one time I felt like it would be REEEEEEEALLY good to have a secondary weapon set up so I could alternate between them to it without having to enter the equipment menu. And there are lots of unused buttons in the controller that could be used to that. It would be REALLY nice to be able to switch between say, a gun and a melee weapon, a heavy and a light one, without the cumbersome task of entering menu (interrupting the game flow) to choose it. This would really enhance the game experience and make the game even more dynamic what you guys thnk?
I actually did this a ton in SotN, and other games as well. I would love to see this implemented.Great suggestion!

In a word, yes.
It absolutely needs to happen unless they plan on allowing every weapon to feasibly smash lanterns and hit ground enemies. It completely breaks immersion and is just a nuisance to enter the menu and equip a different weapon every time you want to break a lantern if you are using something like the whip.

This would be really nice. Personally I would prefer unlocking the ability after a while into the game. It makes it feel that much more valuable when you feel the contrast of having to manage without it at first.
I would also like to see a bullet swap control. It would be really nice to be able to swap between bullet types without heading into the menu every time.

I wholeheartedly second this motion!
I bothered me to have to open the inventory each time I wanted to equip another weapon more adapted to the foe I was facing. I personally feel this should be available since the start of the game, and not reliant on a specific shard.

As I'd just said in the guns thread, I think this is pretty much a given as a feature. Dawn has 2, OoE has 3, I imagine Bloodstained will feature that many or more with how many things you can set/equip for equipment and shards.
The beta's menu screen is arranged slightly differently, but the 2016 and '17 menus both show "equipment set 1" above the equipment.

I fully expect this to be in the game, probably as an early unlockable white shard. Having OoE's three sets (or even more) would do wonders to the more niche weapons like the guns. Instead of having to fully compete with other main weapons, they become more like sub-weapons that have their highly effective uses but lack general utility.

I agree with this as I've found myself wanting a gun in one hand and a weapon in the other. I'm not sure if this should be implemented as WEAPON/SHARD SETS or Main/Off hand capacity (or both).
This would take working to determine how many "hands" a weapon requires to wield (1 hand vs. 2 handed).
I don't think I could see my character weilding a katana AND pulling out a gun. So I feel a hand-capacity 'system' should be in place. effectively making two weapon slots per SET.
I wouldn't want to hot swap weapon sets just to utilize another 1-handed weapon along side my OTHER 1 handed weapon.

We've heard a weapon-swap many times. We will forward the suggestion. Thanks for the feedback.
