Excellent boss fight. The right amount to make a good early boss, but not so easy that it resembles a pushover. I like that the damage on Vepar was retained, yet the attacks follow a pattern that the player can observe.

If there is harder modes added. When she pushes down the ship have her attack with tentacles. She is just sitting duck during it. I don't know she did seem to be on the easy side of things. I think reducing the hp of the player to 100 and reduce then stats by 5. with no other weapon's except the knife. and gear like the ring. then it would be more balanced.

This must be a joke. Vepar is severely underpowered and needs a serious buff plus more attack patterns. The shooting water from the mouth attack is especially weak.

Man, with fans from a spectrum of Symphony to Ecclessia, it's really going to be hard finding a difficulty that suits everyone.
Difficulty options are pretty much mandatory at this point. We need a harder difficulty that's available from the start for those who want a harder game like OoE, and a standard easier difficulty for those like me who want to relax and play it like SotN

I've found the tentacle attack a bit unclear and poorly telegraphed. Other than that it's very nice for a first boss.
I also miss the big droopy breasts. It makes sense for a submarine monster, it gives it a waterlogged aspect. If anything the perky tits make it seem more sexualized than before.

Loved the fight, way better than in the 2016 demo in every way. I thought the difficulty was fine for a first boss of the game.
BUT, she has way too little HP. Once I thought, "ah, now I have seen all your moves and have you figured out", she was already dead. There just wasn't enough time to enjoy it. Fix that little gripe and she is an excellent first boss.

Fight was a bit too easy, but those visuals were great. The way that her skin is now scaled a bit, her hair looks more like a mass of seaweed now and that magical water sheen she had going all made her much more akin to demonic, rather than just a sea critter.

I think the encounter was fine. It's the boss of the tutorial area after all, and may be the first boss of this genre players encounter.
I also greatly prefer this new look personally.

Vepar looks amazing. I have no regrets on her look change haha. Super slick (literally?)
However I really felt it was over too quickly. I felt like I went straight to her, having been familiar with the galleon layout and didn't get to see much of what she did. I think she needs like at least 1.5x the HP. AI is probably good to go.

As a first boss to get players acquainted with the game, I feel Vepar was a great fight. It taught players to observe the background as well as the main portion of the fight without being overly punishing.

She's pretty far away. In previous games if you were able to hit an enemy in the background it was only because some part of them was on the same plane as the player character (see the twin dragons boss from Circle of the Moon, whose bodies were in the background but heads were in the foreground).

It makes no sense to be able to hit her in the background. This isn't 2D so depth has to be taken into consideration. To me it's pretty clear that Vepar backs away for the water splash, since she's smaller.

Guys, her hitbox is not her whole body though but only the "head/chest part" which is leaned towards you to be able to spit that water at you. So if you ask me it makes sense.
