Forgive me,i konw my english is so poor. By playing the demo,i find two hand weapon the time from the first attack to the second attack is too fast, whip is the most slow weapon among them, even the two hand axe is fast than whip,i think it is not blance .shoud balance all the weapon's attack speed . For example,Castlevania:Dawn of Sorrow is a good reference.

I agree. The attack "ends" too quickly, which impact on the feeling of heaviness that those weapons should have.

I'll third that.
The whip was a waste of an item with it being so slow. I'd rather use the claymore and backdash-cancel to get 2 swings at 30 damage in the time it takes the whip to get through half of 1 swing...

Not all the two-handed weapons are broken, I feel. The spears seem about right. But yeah, anything with a heavy overhead swinging attack could be slower than it is now.

I think it's more of a matter of the whip being way too slow than the two-handed weapons being fast. They are not fast. It's already risky to use them against Zangetsu, who moves fast. If they were any slower, they wouldn't be useful.

I feel that the Greatsword weapon is pretty much just fine. It would do to extend the end animation by just a few frames, but I would not argue either way.
The whip is the real problem. Extremely slow and a painfully long animation. It does have a good attack area, but is inefficient for most combat.

i think yeah, the whip being slow when its actually the second fastest weapon on the list irl (remember whips break the sound barrier, only the gun can exceed that) creates an odd frame of reference, i think maybe an extra frame of animation lock on the greatweapons is all it needs but the whip needs speeding up and perhaps a slightly higher forward hitbox to accomodate its huge blindspot around miriam (it does have a bonus though in that it can hit behind you)

Personally, I would like to see it as a similar function to a directional shard.
I.E. it can attack in whatever direction you are pointing.
It would just be a straight attack, but with full directional input. I feel this would make it a bit unique at the same time as giving more functionality. MUCH faster attack but moderately lower damage, probably closer to a dagger in effect. but with multiple elemental types.

Maybe, just maybe, that could be intended...?
There were some weapons in Sotn, for both hands, that were almost as fast as one handed...

Maybe, just maybe, that could be intended...? There were some weapons in Sotn, for both hands, that were almost as fast as one handed... There was an important mechanical difference there. They took up two equipment slots. Here we just have a weapon slot, not two different hand slots. In SotN, you could abuse those two hand slots quite a bit with some weapons to leave the dps of any 2 hander behind.

It would also be super interesting if we got combos from the whip, similar to Leon Belmont in LoI, at least in animation. It would have something to balance out it's slow windup -- a 3 attack combo, and you're immobile throughout. Sadly, I feel this would be negated by someone proficient in the backdash-cancelling with a weaker weapon.
