Turn the volume through ingame function to 3 or lower.
Now craft something. Once finished Miriams voice is still as loud as it would be if you had everything at 10.
It is really annoying, especially if you have headphones, being shouted at - even if the voice actor is pleasent by itself, I'd like to keep my hearing for a bit longer.
