In the equip screen, do the following:
1. Select weapon top open weapon list
2. Open up "Sort By" menu
3. Select a weapon category that you own nothing of (mace in my save file). You should see no weapons on the list.
4. Select "Unequip", or cancel menu, or L1/R1 to change to another menu.
You lose the "Sort By" menu entry, so you cannot access any of your weapons anymore
Seems like the "Sort By" menu is disabled if the weapon select menu has no items, even if the player has items in his inventory.
*I am not sure if saving the file and restarting will fix it... I don't have the guts to do so with my save file right now.

Extra info from Mizu#6075 from the Discord server, saving the file and restarting the game gets the items back.
