The current lighting levels make it somewhat difficult to discern foreground and background. Here's a suggestion: Original: ... and a suggestion to make visibility a little more user-friendly: I can create/post some more examples if needed.

I completely agree with this. There should be a clear distinction between the background and the midground playable area. I think overall things are looking great, but a general "Grime" pass across the levels would help to break up the clean, tiling texture look as well.
But this is polish feedback! Overall, man i'm stoked. Things are looking good!

I also have to voice out my opinion that the game is way too bright. You can mask a lot of the jankier asset placement with appropriately moody lighting.
