What we've learned from E3 without too many spoilers.
-- THE GAME
No releasedate yet. Many takes it as a 2019 release. Others take it as they are still on schedule for a 2018 release. Myself personally believe Feb 12 2019, because reasons.
You can change headpieces, scarf and boots (weapon) to change Miriams apperance. Armor does not. There will be however costumes/hair that will change her apperance in colors and style. Pure Miriam is a "pure copy" of the one Miriam wears now, and its suppose to be like this (old news but brought up again).
Many modes, so many they have lost almost track and can spend hours speaking about each one of them.
There will be one special scary boss in the game, please look forward to this.
-- THE DEMO
Coming in a couple of days (21st) for kickstarter / fangamer backers.
Demo is around 1 hour long. It starts you straight from the beginning, at Galleon Minerva, (which were cut in the first demo). Interactive, updated and with re-arranged items and names. It will take you beyond the Galleon Minerva "stage", into the village and then into the castle summoned by Gebel.
Ether, the power to use your shards, seems to have been renamed to Mana. A term most use anyways. In Curse of the Moon they are called 'weapon points'.
Animations, movements, cutscenes, lights, textures and features are still work in progress. Examples of animation would be lips out of sync and glitchy bugs during cutscenes.
They are looking forward for your feedback regarding the demo, which is in its nature, a true "game slice" in dev-term.
-- KOJI IGARASHI
Own too many hats to count.
He is on a diet and have been for a while, loosing weight but also gained a bit muscles, keeping a healthier lifestyle.
He is too humble to call his genre of games as "IGAvanias", and refere to them as Metroidvania. This translates also into english upon asked. There is still a variation of these genres with IGAvania being a sub-category with RPG and shop-elements more so than traditional wider category of Metroidvania.
Was very tired after a long day of questions and info, but as always, he took it like a champ.

Own 2 hats.
Have grown as a community manager, interpreter and artist over the past years, being a good friend to Koji they really help each other out to make the best out of any situation. Did a wonderful job keeping the crowd engaged and IGA updated.
-- SIDENOTE, OLD NEWS
The Shard Animation have gotten feedback since 2016, and with that we wanted more options to toggle animations on and off. Same goes with the scream of agony, which might have a few different screams or a way to toggle it off. Shard animations only apply on new abilities, not when you stack them to make them stronger (if this is still a feature in the game).
To make clear: Its a community request, and not official statement - We want these features: Toggle on/off shard animations & on/off screaming while getting new shard.
