That question about which type of game BS RotN is (linear Classicvania or Metroidvania) was a pretty dumb one. Everyone who knows about the game knows what it's supposed to be. Other than that, no complaints.

So far, this might be the best video in terms of showing the variety of work that has gone into Bloodstained since the last demo. One could nitpick, and I'm always very picky, but it's really coming together. That question about which type of game BS RotN is (linear Classicvania or Metroidvania) was a pretty dumb one. Everyone who knows about the game knows what it's supposed to be. Other than that, no complaints. There are a lot of questions like that being asked. I think the Shack News interview even asked what relationship Bloodstained has to Castlevania.  I'm not so sure if this is uniformed questioning, or if it's trying to get non-backers and casual gamers on the same page as people familiar with the Kickstarter. Sad to say, but it's likely that there are still a lot of gamers who don't even know Bloodstained exists. |

Sometimes you have to remember that the intended scope of things like this are for people who have no idea what they're looking at. They want to introduce these games and reach new people about them so they can become interested, and to do so they would need to ask and address obvious questions. Most of the time, the more granular and specific things (that we'd be interested in) can't be answered as it is, so that ends up just wasting time and does little to draw new attention to what the game is.

Yeah, but my point is that if you know about Bloodstained, there's a 99.9% chance you know what type of game it is. Even if you just know the name, a quick google search will reveal plenty of gameplay footage. People who know about Castlevania might not know about Bloodstained at all though, so that other question isn't quite as dumb. |

dareka right, the give and take of question and answer is a preferable format rather than say the developer just dumping a bunch of exposition on what the game is/how it plays. Conversationally it's easier to follow and paces what they want to do. We watch these things because we want to suck in as much extra little bits of info we can find, but truthfully the main audience are the un-reached and I'm 100% fine with that. More fans is always better. That said, lol a small part of me kind of hopes that Iga or Mana will eventually troll someone or Mana answer a question herself. They'd be all like "wait, aren't you just a translator?" and she'd be all "no, I actually even worked on this level you're looking at right now".
