I was at work last night and I decided to tune in to the classical radio station. I hear the dude on the radio talking about a man inspired by Quincy Jones from Japan who did music for anime, video games, and movies. I was sitting there going "WAIT, this station does gaming composers too?!"
I come to find out that this man is none other than the composer for quite a few Ghibli movies and Ni no Kuni. I may not be the biggest die hard fan of Ghibli who's seen all of their output, but I do love the music in the ones I have seen without a doubt.

I found this song thanks to RWBY parodies.(and a certain 3D video)
It's going to be hard to NOT sing this when I see an ice cream truck now.
As far as feels, uncontrollable laughter. I never get tired of it.

"Ashes of Dreams" from Nier. It's beautifully sung and fits the melancholy mood of the game to a T.
"MARIA" from Atelier Ayesha. This is the battle theme for the final boss and captures the emotions and the main character's personal stake in the battle perfectly.

I'm pretty sure that the very first time I was really hit though video game music was with the ending theme to NES Dragon Warrior 2 (now prominently and genuinely correctly known all over the world as Dragon Quest 2): But relatively recently, I introduced myself to Ys and the whole Falcom Dragon Slayer family of games. A few years ago I tried enjoying my time with Lightning Returns... suffice it to say that it was a horrible experience. I then decided to move on and play another RPG title, Ys I&II Chronicles, for the PSP. I started up the UMD and finished making up the settings for the title which included choosing the PC88 music option. Just after hearing the first dozen or so notes play on the title screen for Ys was... beautiful  After what I went through with Lightning Returns, hearing the opening in its true PC88 fashion was very therapeutic and totally cured me of the "bad entertainment infection" caused by -that- game  The Ys I opening is called "Feena" (which plays first) so enjoy! Pleasantly surprised in finding out that the music guy behind Ys I and II is Yuzo Koshiro who also did all Etrian Odyssey's music!! No wonder I like Etrian Odyssey music!  |

Two stand out from the top of the my head. First, Adaigo for Strings. I mean, classic piece, beautiful, odds are everyone in the world has heard it, not going to bother linking it.
Second, which is less common, is Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel, aka "That sad song from Watership Down."
