I would like to thank mike for coming up with the great idea of making a fansite and taking money out of his own pocket to start this, i was being one of the first people to sign up it was such a great idea and look at where we are now. Setting up forums requires a lot of work. I'm a software developer (Android) so I understand how tough it is.
Even though we have choices of ready-made forum software to choose from these days, you still have to go through mountain of troubles just to get it up and running.
For those who might be wondering how much the forum owner earn from ads. I can't say for certain since I've never run a forum with ads before. But if the revenue rate (eCPM) is close to ads on Android, you'll need a LOT of active users/ad requests(eg. 100,000+ requests a day) to earn anything meaningful.
Ok. My point is: The guys who make this forums deserve respect. Thanks for setting this up.
