Last week I had some long, exhausting shifts at work where it felt like my brain was melting.
However, it ended on a high note when some friends and I got to see "How Did This Get Made?" record a live show on Saturday. I still can't believe we managed to snag some tickets. The movie they talked about was Timecop. If you're a listener, I hope you enjoy the episode.

My friend told me about "How did this get made?". I still haven't given it a shot yet. I will. As far as my day so far... Work: So...while at work at the end of my week, the day that I leave early I got some news or rather a complaint from one of our guests that I helped. They thought I said two things(that I asked if the guests were together and said something about "semen being on the bed"), when I didn't...at all. Thing is, they named me by name when they did their survey so my bosses pull me in trying to tell me that they heard me say them as well..."kind of" as they put it and told me not to worry about it. Thing is, I felt insulted. I think I did say one thing, the "together" part, but it had NOTHING to do with relations. I work the hospitality business, so IF I did say something like that it was me wondering if the other person was staying in the room. I would NEVER inquire about the relationship of a guest. Also I know damn well I didn't say "semen". After a bit, I started to remember those guests and how I was actually very courteous and helpful...but they labeled me "completely unprofessional". Sometimes I can't decide what's worse sometimes...the guests or the company I work for itself. I work for a company in a pretty bad area where crack heads, unsavory folk, and jerks seem to flock to our place. Also the company itself works on guidelines...not policies. I say this because policies change with the weather and managers and employees get away with some shady crap at times. Sometimes I say one, sometimes I say the other. Whatever, it was garbage and completely false but they got away with it. I hope they enjoyed their free stuff if that's why they lied about me. So long as I still get paid and know that I didn't get written up over this, I'm fine. Surprise Expense: With the move, we have a storage. Thing is, someone in the family didn't pay it. It came out to over 300 something dollars. Guess who had to pay it? Me. If I don't get paid back, then I will have to cancel my trip to Florida this coming July. I meticulously planned the savings for that trip and I already got the plane ticket...but I still need to rent the car and get a room somewhere. Oi Vey. I'm starving. I think I might go get some curry. Might, because that surprise expense put me down. I might just get it anyway. That was a bunch of TMI, but it's hard to explain that first one without dropping at least SOME details. |

Strange day for me yesterday. I think I was asked out. That was...bizarre. She works at a food place at my establishment and we had said hi and hugged in passing, but I never thought much of it other than she was cute. I got her number after she asked and I hope something comes of it. We'll see.
After that moment, I went to get some AYCE sushi. That's All You Can Eat by the way. I didn't eat as much as you would think. I went home and tried to play Doom 2, but it continues to spank me. I'm stuck on map 12 or 13 now. My health is low and there are mancubi and arachnatrons everywhere.
I finished off the show Trollhunters. It's a great show, it really surprised me. I recommend it. Guillermo Del Toro created it and you can tell.
I tried to watch An American Werewolf in London last night, but I fell asleep. I woke up a few hours ago and finished it. Great movie but it ended so suddenly, I wasn't expecting that.

Dragon_of_Dojima : the thing I've learned since I've been engaged (I was never in a relationship until last September, even though I am 22) is that you should always get those opportunities if you can. Flirting and beyond is good and there is no point in missing these chances. I surely missed them for a long time. Not trying to sound wise or anything, I'm still too young and inexperienced, but however you should see how it goes, good luck  Ah, I assure you that Doom 2 will repay every bit of the time you invest in it. I think I've burned well above 1000 hours in Doom, Doom 2 and the countless WADs, map packs and mods. Truly a timeless game, probably my favorite ever. Maneuvering is a key, with practice you will become a master! It is really good blazing through the maps at Ultra-Violence, and the experience pays off because many megaWADs are really difficult. But a good thing is that the game has lots of difficulty option, so have a blast  As far as my day is concerned... heh, didn't goo that well. I failed an exam (Egyptology) because the professor was way more demanding than I though, and really precise on details like geography and the names of archaeologists. The worst part is that I panicked and I made quite a fool of myself. It surely seemed like I never opened a book, but in truth I've been studying hard for quite a bit  oh well, them exams can't always go well. It shall be a lesson not to overlook details. I hope to pass it next time because it was really humiliating.

I feel like I only come here to talk about either rough days or food.
Today was bad. I was put in my most hated position 3 times in a week. Think of it as "dispatch", because that's essentially what it is. First on my monday, then yesterday, and then again today. I already wasn't in a good mood this morning because of how bad yesterday was, but today was worse. Very busy, tons of jerks, and a lot of minutia. The service industry...*sigh*
Also one of my coworkers outright refused an assignment...called me to refuse. I was so baffled by this and upset that he could get away with it. I didn't say anything until a supervisor came to me with what I had thought was precognition at the time. "Did X call you and say he didn't want to go to that assignment?" I reluctantly said yes because I really don't anyone to get in trouble but I can't lie either.
The ending was pretty good. We all had a laugh at the end of the shift. Thing is I'm tired, have a headache, but I still have to go workout. I let my family talk me into doing this 28 day boot camp work out thing and it's today!
Hooray. I needed to get back into working out anyway, and when I started last year(plus) it was at a bad time. I just need to stick with it this time. My diet took a backslide due to the stuff around me and my lack of cooking skill. Going to need to adjust that or go with inexpensive vegetable tv dinners or SOMETHING.

I've had a busy past few weeks.
First, I got a new job! It is full time, better than both of my current/old ones, and I start next week.
Second, I've been dealing with my final weeks of retail, and those included Father's Day and 4th of July weekend. Pretty crazy.
This week I've been following SGDQ 2017. Today, I ordered a copy of the Fangamer's new bad translation book, picked up my badge for RTX 2017 (waited in line for two hours!), and saw Spider-Man: Homecoming (I wasn't looking forward to it that much, but it actually ended up being a pretty solid movie and I really enjoyed it).
While I'm looking forward to RTX, I might not be seeing the Netflix Castlevania premiere that'll be held there like originally planned. Andy Serkis, one of my favorite people in the world, is doing the keynote at around the same time and seeing him speak is a bigger personal priority for me. But I'll try and make it to a panel with people who worked on the the show and watch it as soon as I can.
