I've experienced that several times at the shows I've been to. It's always nice when the band calls out folks who are getting out of hand. Yeah. It's part of the reason why I don't go to concerts often. I paid to see the band, have fun, and the opportunity to meet other fans who like them. I can understand people wanting to crowdsurf, skank, or participate mosh pits and I've done all of that myself, but stuff like that needs to be kept reasonable without interfering with other people's fun. Not every show is the type of place for things like that. True.... But you'd have to admit it would be absolutely hilarious watching people try to mosh at a Justin Beiber concert  |

So I just now got my first platinum trophy on a Vita game!!! The game is.... Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls!!!! My second platinum trophy overall. The first being on Dragon Quest Heroes on PS4. It's nice to have at least a few of these in virtually a sea of bronze trophies.  |

Mostly been sitting inside it snowed here yesterday and turned all the roads into sheets of ice. The temperatures outside have been hovering in the teens and I am kind of reluctant to do anything other than travel back and forth to work which I have been doing at around 30mph.

This house lacks central air so I have a propane in the living room and several space heaters scattered in various rooms around the house. |

It warmed up to 45F yesterday and all the snow has melted off but now my yard is a kind of muddy swamp where your feet will sink in mud if you step off the pavement and it is of course now raining. While I prefer this to snow is it still not very desirable weather and prevents me from doing anything meaningful outside. On the bright side I have made significant progress on Fallout 4 and have succeeded in gaining another four pounds... okay that's not really an accomplishment since I am fat already back to the lean cuisines I guess.

What a morning I had.
I get woken up by a call from my dad. He tells me to drive out to the trailer he lives at to watch his dogs. He can't go out there, because my sister got involved in an auto-wreck.
Some motorcyclist jerk cut through a parking lot and into traffic and crashed into my sister's car. Fortunately, my sister only got a mild arm injury. (The motorcycle guy who was at fault, however, is looking to have both a shattered leg and shattered foot.)
My family is breathing easy. Though when my dad woke me up to get me driving out to his trailer, the only thing I was told was that there was an accident, my sister's car was destroyed, and some people were hurt. As I was driving out, I was filled with anxiety over what could have happened. (Was my sister's life in serious danger? And she was a mother, was my nephew and niece possibly hurt as well? And it would have been perfectly in-character for my dad to be hospitalized, call me from the hospital, and just act like he himself wasn't hurt.)
Still, everything's cool now. I can't help but worry when stuff like this happens, though. I inherited a bit of my mother's worry-wart character, especially when loved ones are in possible danger.

In motorcycle vs car accidents its usually the motorcycle rider who takes the brunt of the damage. In general I feel safer riding behind a couple thousand pounds of metal and a glass windshield than having my body exposed to the elements and whatever decides to hit me.

I purchased the following: GTX 970 Hybrid (built in water cooling) X2 (so I can run them in SLI  ) Asus VS239H Monitor X2Ergotron LX Desk Arm Ergotron LX Dual Stack Desk Arm Just finally got my PC back together and running this evening. Had to completely reconfigure how I had the cards in my system as well as take the fan off of one of the GTX radiators and put it on the other side to get it mounted correctly. While it wasn't exactly tight before, it's darn close now. But at least my system is back up and running. Now I just have to spend tomorrow morning mounting the desk arms and my two new displays to go along with my current one to complete my triple display setup. |
