Been home from college for winter break since last Wednesday. Been pretty nice with finals being done. Also good to finally recover from being brain dead last Monday (had three finals on that one day). Now I can finally sit back with family and old friends.
Buuut being at my parent's house means bad internet so that does mean I am on a hiatus from streaming (and possibly speedrunning) until I get back to college. Doesn't really matter anyways, I'm playing way too much Xenoblade Chronicles X at the moment.

I graduated from college yesterday, which is why I have been absent for the last few days. Currently I am headed home for the holidays. I'm looking forward to going home!

I finished up my Christmas shopping today. It was pretty straightforward, but I also had to do a lot of driving when I decided to return a "gag" gift and had to go to the other side of town to get something else instead. I also had no idea that Bed, Bath, and Beyond could be so incredibly crowded/packed until today.

Good: I'm taking an adult school class to train for a new career path. Honestly, I'm not that excited.
Meh: This job is draining, boring, pays far too little, and thus drains instantly. Thus I'm drained instantly. What keeps me going is the raised pay next month and experience.
Bad: I just found out one of the folks at the house spent WAY more money than they should have...on something completely different than what they initially told me they were going to use it for.
So, I'm here. Trying to get by. We're moving soon.

Finally taken a break from Xenoblade X. My brother from the military came home last week for break before he gets shipped out of the US sometime in 2016. Feels nice to see him again. We spent some time watching an amime known as Tokyo Ghoul. I like it so far (just finished Season 1). Other than that, finished my after Christmas shopping (got money, socks, and shampoo). Spent about 170+ dollars mainly on books for school (saved 300 dollars on books this semester ) and then spent a present or two for a friend, headphones, a cane umbrella to go with my trench coat, sunglasses for my cosplay, and an FM converter for my phone (gotta listen to those Bloodstained Podcasts somehow right?). All and all. Pretty decent break so far. I'm about ready to head back to school though. (I could use a stream right now) |

So for me other than having a very busy end of the year things have been alright. Christmas went well. Found a new arcade and game shop back home. Got my bi-annual cold on the last week of December this year (winter came late  ) Celebrated a friend's birthday by going to see the new Star Wars and spending an afternoon at the afore-mentioned arcade. Had a great New Years Eve, but spent New Years day living my own personal version of The Hangover (VERY scary night... Would kinda rather forget it happened). Spent the middle of the week last week bringing my Pinball table back into working order, and other than needing to get a couple new displays to be on hand for a couple that are starting to get iffy, she's quite playable and just as addicting as I remember. I must say though that for my first time in a LONG time I couldn't wait to get back to work. Going from a job that only has 6 (maybe 7) holidays out of the year to a place that has a Christmas shutdown was an odd, unnerving, but in the end pleasant experience. But I was going a bit stir crazy by Tuesday last week and was ready to go back to work. Lucky I had my pinball machine to keep me busy.  |

With how it's already a week after New Year, thinking it might be a good idea to go to a game and anime store to relax
and I stumbled across the Ichiban Kuji ticket, where you can get 3 main figurine of CC, Kallen, Shirley, and maybe a Nendoroid version of Lelouch
So, I'm like "want to try this for a change", so I bought 5 tickets to open
and when I opened it, I'm very happy jumping around, because I got the whole figurine set each

Yesterday, I drove 90 minutes to see my favorite band perform. It started out nice, then some specific audience members who weren't being respectful of everyone else's experience started acting up, but it was nice seeing one of them get dragged away by a bouncer and the whole group got called out for their behavior by the lead singer. From that point on, I had a nice night.

It's part of the reason why I don't go to concerts often. I paid to see the band, have fun, and the opportunity to meet other fans who like them. I can understand people wanting to crowdsurf, skank, or participate mosh pits and I've done all of that myself, but stuff like that needs to be kept reasonable without interfering with other people's fun. Not every show is the type of place for things like that. |
