estebant A little late to reply to you, but now after Angel-Corlux has confirmed that nothing Konami or Castlevania related is happening, this is what I was originally talking about:
"The resurrection of Count Dracula is at hand" ........... I'm not sure anyone caught this and questioned that strange small portion of the update video, and this video was from all the way back in June. Maybe I'm just wierd Ah, I see. I think he was just kidding around and explaining one aspect of the Castlevania games he liked, not implying that Dracula would return in Bloodstained. XD

Man, the game is becoming more real to me. Visually it looks a lot better ( it looks like it has a darker contrast which makes the colors pop more thankfully), and just everything seems to be coming together now. My only hope is the game feels as special and or packed with little details and secrets as SOTN had. I want to feel like around every corner I might discover something cool. I hope that they were able to achieve that but even if they didn't, I'm just glad its shaping up to be a really solid IGAVANIA.

Loved this update. My only concern is the size and thickness of the katana. It could be possible that you guys want the weapon to be apparent and seen or maybe the model was made too large. So I suppose it's more of an observation I'd like clarification on.
What I'm curious to know, however, is if there will be more dresses for Miriam aside from the pure outfit unlocked on Kickstarter.
Lastly, what I loved most is that there is so much diversity shown off in this update. Accessories, hair styles, and weapons that range from real to mythic.

Angel-Corlux , the Geek Reply site ( LINK HERE) noticed that the Axe is casting a shadow even when it's not visible. I made a screenshot below and it is indeed true. Just a feedback for the dev team. That is probably a bug that must be fixed. It seems the shadow is casting like Miriam is holding the axe in front of her somehow, even through that does not happen at her model.

Miriam would look gorgeous with long beautiful hair like Bloodless's, though wavy instead and with cute bangs.
maybe the monitor's screen is too dark, but that new hairstyle they demonstrated is long in the front but looks too short in the back, the default hairstyle looks better. I don't like short hair, nor hair tied up. would say that new hairstyle would look better with at least a long braided ponytail.
there is magic in Bloodstained. changing to longer hair should be possible.
if not, then so far I'll just stick to the default hairstyle.

A comment on the update by Donnicton:
I'm inclined to agree, and there are others chiming in on this there. I didn't want to say anything because I know the team wants to try their hardest to make deadlines and meet expectations...yet...there are diminishing returns the longer you push yourself, after all. You're at your best after some breaks and rest, and that includes holidays.
There's a balance to consider here. Please take care...

The weapons look great and the hairstyles/outfits are really nice and i'm glad they are in there. Variety in appearance and customisation options are a wonderful way of keeping the player invested in the game. I really wish that we could be given some assurances that the same variety we see with Miriam will be present in enemy death animations. (i know i keep saying this but it's what keeps me playing this kind of game - it's as important as player appearence). Oh yeah the Rat looks gross by the way - nice job it's genuinely creepy.

Pure Miriam Yeah lighting is definitely still very much WIP, and the team knows that shadows is included in that, so don't worry! Will bring it up regardless just to make sure, but yeah they know. :)

Angel-Corlux I don't know if any of the color/contrast has been adjusted but it feels darker/moodier and less washed out color wise. So if there was a change recently than it's for the better. If i'm wrong than ignore me.....I probably need glasses.

Customization features like these are always welcome. Glad to see them in action.
That said, the game seems to be leaning more and more into a style that's more "cute," light-hearted, and playful. As much as I hate to use the term, "Weebo" seems like the most apt descriptor. And honestly it's making it difficult to stay as excited for the game as I was at the start. I backed the game day one without hesitation and don't regret it at all. I'll be playing the hell out of the game when it launches. Others seem to be happy with the way the game is looking and hopefully that's representative of the majority of players. But for now it seems rather than being the successor to Castlevania I was hoping for Bloodstained will likely be another pretty good game that makes me miss Castlevania that much more.

With the fire held by the statue and all the other fire in the background I'd expect the shadow to go the other way, or possibly be weirdly dispersed from all the light sources.

You two really think a game with a Giant Rat with multiple eyes, bones sticking out from it's back and a overly gross look like this: And a vampire boss that slashed her own throat to form a bloody dress over her naked body and attack by spraying blood everywhere like this: Is a "lighthearted cute game"? Just because Miriam has stylish stances and some cute costume adornments?

I'm confused Pure Miriam. I don't remember calling this a lighthearted cute game, or saying anything about it's tone or costumes. I can see some of the costume related stuff that's come out so far as being maybe a little light hearted for some, but I'm assuming that there's going to be a lot of other options available for those that want something more serious that a bunny costume.

Having said this I know I'll love the game and play through it many times....but ofcourse without any cute items equipped To me it's not so much how they dress but the way they behave. When I see Miriam hunched over after swinging that axe I see something intimidating, like she's ready to throw her full weight into another swing. Additionally I can see the outfits being justifiable in game. She's cursed with no natural cure in a castle surrounded by things that wish her dead. If I was her I'd looking to find comfort and relief to persevere. For her that might be dressing up in things that remind her of innocence.

If you think Miriam is too cutesy, you can give her a different outfit. We see in the video that there's at least one option for a scarf-less Miriam, and short, aggressive hair too. If you want to make a tough, non-nonsense vampire hunter, you'll probably be able to do so. And that isn't even going into the other playable characters; though we'll have to wait until they're announced to be sure, I'd bet there's at least one option who'll look and play more like a classic "manly" hero ;D
