Gremory, the first Boss revealed for Bloodstained, has a voice acress. The roles i know of Saori Goto (Mirai from Senran Kagura) and Nao from Shokugeki no Souma and both characters are quite crazy on their own way, a childish crazyness of sorts. That reveal may be a lot or may be nothing much. Maybe all bosses will have voice actors and actresses. But revealing Gremory specifically lead to a lot of speculations.
In demonology, Gremory is a strong Duke of Hell that governs twenty-six legions of demons. That demon has the ability to oversee time (telling the past, present and future), find hidden treasures , and incitates / rouses the love of women, young and old, but especially maidens. Gremory is depicted as appearing in the form of a beautiful woman with the crown of a duchess tied around his waist, and riding a camel.
So, i ask:
1) Between these options, what do you think will be Gremory's at Bloodstained? A simple Boss, a recurring Boss (a boss that you fight more than once) Gebel's main sidekick / right hand (Akin to Death for Dracula at Castlevania series) or something else? 2) Do you believe Gremory may have more than one form? 3) What will be Gremory's Shard? She will also drop anything?
That's all folks!

Here's what the Kickstarter update said that introduced us to Gremori: I would think she is indeed the tribute to Death. Moon shaped knives support this. Important to Gebel enough to now have a VA. Death had a speaking role in SotN. The dimension powers might make her critical to summoning the castle and other demons. Perhaps she will end up sending Miriam to Hell.

Yeah, so I pointed out the crescent knives thing a while back in a thread and on the BCB later because it sounded very "Death" to me, and as far as I know no one had brought it up before that. Her being revealed as a major enough character to be listed with the rest lends more to that.
The old excerpt Mike posted also says "Olrox" to me too, since it rules over a portion of the castle. It's also been said and pointed out that since Gremory is capable of opening portals into different dimensions, he/she may be the vehicle with which we're carried to the retro level or whatever other area. Gremory definitely sounds like a sort of "partner" to Gebel, but it will remain to be seen how much of a sidekick it wants to be.
2) I wouldn't be surprised if the boss had multiple forms. Death and Olrox certainly did.
3) Death in the games where you could acquire his abilities gave the player the spawning crescent-shaped knives. I think that may be similar to Gremory's shard, or beating her may open up the possibility to use the portals at will to to/from the areas she transports you to.

Sidekick. Ever since she were announced as part of the dialogue in a grand matter. Sidekick for sure!
If there are different forms of her, it would be from alternate timeliens of the future where she have more power and evolved into something bigger. I believe she will have two forms, one of which that would make her float a bit more, giving a better and wider space of a wild fight.
And shards, I still believe it is portal-related. Even though it could be everything from time, alternate dimension or a way just to suck enemies into oblivion. I would believe she have a commander type of role, and her death is something that might or might not come back in later IP, depending on how well she is recieved by the players.
A female sidekick have been done in Dracula before, they have all had minor roles however and Death is one really bad-ass character to have around. Even so, a demon are still weaker than the devil himself, if they were to introduce a devil, it would be a powerful sidekick for Gebel, if Gebel really take over the control to make the devil himself do his bidding.
I believe we meet her in the castle, but do not fight her until moments before we meet Gebel (Alfred).

It's gonna be weird knowing that Gremory's a "he" in this series.

In Gremory's entry in the Ars Goetia you see the following: I believe this is also true of Gremory in Bloodstained due to what I consider the true cannon ending in Curse. Gremory had Zangetsu in a dimension made just for him. None of it was real. It was made with the intention of corrupting him and used Gremory's powers of seeing the future to invent these allies. The Curse of the Moon option in the game also lends to what ifs and time travel.
If you play the game the hardest way possible, without gaining or killing allies and you skip the power ups, you get the ending that ends with the word "fin". I strongly believe that's the true ending. I don't have the text of that ending available right now, but it would fit well in cannon IF when Zangetsu meets the others in Ritual he still has memories of that experience. This would also make it a prequel. Oh, and as far as gender goes, all demons of the Goetia are refered to as male but some take on female appearance. Humans perception of gender and the need to place an entity into a gender role is natural to their finite lives. Reproduction is mostly the business of mortals with some exceptions, and the language used to describe beings of unearthly origin falls short to capture the greater whole of what a demon really is. If you look into the Bible and try to find a female angel, you're not going to find one. In Genesis you find that the titans were born of the union between angels and human women. Funny that angels are mostly depicted as beautiful winged women in most art these days. To be in the presance of an angel was terrifying and the descriptions are pretty wild. Don't let gender descriptions bother you with angels and demons. Demons can be what they wish. If you can imagine angels as women, you can do the same for demons.

Very interesting thread! I still have a couple of remaining endings to see in CotM, so I do not yet have the complete picture; but I have certainly wondered about the goals of Gremory. Is Gremory essentially a deceiver, using curious mortals for unrevealed purposes? Or is Gremory specifically interested in influencing a certain character (or characters)? The Curse of the Moon could be a way to introduce chaos and prevent certain outcomes, or its goal might be to achieve a particular end.
My current guess is that Gremory is playing the role of Castlevania's Death, but perhaps not in the way that Death played it. Death seemed content with his place in the cosmos. Might Gremory look for control over those who believe that they control the castle?

Would the shard curse come from gremory? That swarm in his stage looks a lot like shards.
