Wait a sec they want to edit the stretch goals..., i need to look this up i have never heard of a kickstarter changing goals after they state them. This could get the ks banned brb i got to look up a few things. Edit: no rule about changing stretch goals but i did find this
"Any changes made midstream should be accompanied by an assurance that you are honoring your initial promises to backers."

maaaaybe? i mean they did say from the start that all options are on the table, including finding a publisher, but bosman had it right, the "SCREW YOU CRAPCOM!!!" feel just wasnt there, and few things will motivate a mass of people faster than hate. if legends had the massive fanbases castlevania and megaman has, it mightve gained momentum early on and did better, but im just glad its getting made now, and hoping my pledge wont be wasted

MML and Castlevania are my favourite games. Very happy Redash can be saved by fuze. One important reason is that China lifts ban on video game consoles recently.

The initial funding goal has to be delivered and can't be changed, stretch goals can be shifted mid-campaign. In this scenario, Comcept still guarantees you the full game. The main difference is that the stretch goals should be more accessible now, which is a non-issue. I wish they would make a new Mega Man X, or Mega Man Battle Network game... There have been numerous successful KS campaigns that did that and actually had it as a main selling point. Also Arc, concerning your latter post, and I'm obliged by my title to share this info, there already is a working prototype (and soon to be sold) device that interacts with VR machines to give you a more real feel. Lets describe it as... a mounting interface device? Or an input input device maybe? |

Yay, we're getting the full game!!! Now we can just ignore the Kickstarter!  Seriously, though, they should just cancel the Kickstarter at this point and come back in a few months with a new Kickstarter with updated stretch goals. But Inafune being Inafune (read: greedy), they'll probably just keep this going until it fails. Speaking of Inafune, I guess in the end he was able to sucker someone else into picking up the tab for his latest experiment. Not surprised. He's a businessman, and he's good at what he does. Still, I'm looking forward to this game. I think it actually has a chance to be pretty decent, especially since Inafune, as executive producer, is barely involved in the game's development. I think that bodes well for the quality of the end product. |
