Enough information during a long period of time is key to make a game interesting during development.
We all share a common thing on this forum, and that is the love for games like IGA's Castlevania.
I am curious, from our latest podcast, of what you know so far. What kind of news are you looking the most forward to? Excluding the obvious highly ranked Early Access of the game, what else would you want to see and to know in the next couple of official updates?

Good spread of options.
The music and new game plus are a big draw. The meat of the game being developed in secret to retain surprises for the player is the substrate holding up the rest but as far as spoiler free revelations go I'm anxious in the positive over those.

...For me it is about the playable char acters. Why is that? It is because the whole lore depends on it. Who is bound to get more importance vs who is going to be a NPC... simply put, either fighting against demons and risking his/her life or just giving quests/needing to be rescued?
Many things come from that too. A character theme (yes, enemy characters will get one for sure, but would you give one to one that ended being a NPC?), epic lines against enemies, a way lot more dedicated voiceovers, a wider range of dedicated character frames including jumping, attacking, special moves and reactions to pain and so on.
Will other characters gain access to forging? Yes, I believe they will have that (I do not want characters that do not evolve in terms of weapons and armor like in past igavanias), but it will be restricted to their weapon of choice. I don't see someone like Zangetsu using guns or axes (and yes, once again, I want him to be playable as well as Dominique. Two demon exterminators, one from the East, the other from the West; a clash in methods and values and motivations). Obviously, the shard system is Miriam's only. Will they be able to shapeshift? That's all to know.
My other choices were
- Forging, as it's important to see how it will be done, will we get something different than in MMORPGs, numerous metroidvanias, Dawn of Sorrow and the like;
- Weapons and items: How will you survive? What sort of lores are attached to items? Will there be anachronism issues?
- Abilities and transformations: Not only offensive spells and attacks but also defensive ones, ways to progress as well (double jump, dash, backdash, special commands, ways to go past hard locks, etc.).
- Enemies: Who/what will you face? Will there be absolutely new designs? How will they react to Miriam? Can there be adaptative enemies depending on health% or others monsters nearby?
As for the music, the prequel, the environments, the nightmare mode, the prequel and other ways to make Miriam and other characters fancy and the familiars, I am hopeful this will turn out very nicely. I sense these as a big bonus. For me, playability and the richness in moves and what is to face or interact with counts for me the most.

1-Music. (Not relevant but i backed this game for Miss Yamane as my main reason for backing it) 2-Crafting/Alchemy/Forging. (WE NEED INFORMATION BEFORE I KEEP GOING RIOT) 3-Weapons and Items. (excited about this but can live even if they dont mention a thing) 4-Abilities. (same as above) 5-Nightmare mode. (give me the main game first)

In the end, I don't want too many spoilers really, but...
Movements [Speed / Animation]--I'm wondering how the final game is going to flow in a category that is pretty fundamental to everything.
The Prequel Game & Retro Level--I'm more Classicvania than Metroidvania deep down, so I'm hoping for something that is at least as good as Castlevania the Adventure Rebirth, but hopefully better than that. (I was under the impression there would be more than one retro level originally in the Kickstarter. I thought it would be like six or so, like a short NES-era game).
Environments--The concept art had a lot of interesting stages, whereas what we've seen so far has been fairly basic. I'd like to see some more outdoor environments, or confirmation of an Atlantis-type stage. (But again, I don't want to know too much.)
Enemies & Bosses--I haven't gotten a solid feel for what this game's enemies will be like yet. Early art seemed very exotic (maybe too exotic), while later assets appear more traditional. Yet even within that mix, I haven't gotten a strong sense of continuity to this game's world of enemies. I don't want too much spoiling, but I do want to get a better feel for this. (Oh, and maybe the starfish enemies should come back.)
Staggered Content Info--Curious how all this stuff will be delivered, like the timing of the Retro Game and such.
(RUNNER-UP: Music & Soundtrack)--Haven't been overly impressed by the soundtrack so far, so still hoping to get some more definitive tunes. I'd like to know who all is working on it at this point, too.

Special move inputs being on weapons. lol I can wait to find out if they are there or not, for sure, but I just want them to be there. I guess that falls under abilities, but I don't necessarily want to know any specific examples. Otherwise, everything else is kind of spoilerish, so just merchandise and other pre-release stuff.

Alpha/Beta information - Why? because that will most likely answer a lot of these questions. The only things I don't care to hear about are playable characters and options/settings. Playable characters because I can find that out once I beat the game as they're typically beat the game rewards and options settings because....well I have no issue with the shard animation it doesn't interrupt gameplay unless you get a new shard which seems in line with the Sorrow games if I remember correctly. Either way options and settings most likely would be in the alpha/beta..

Enemies & Bosses is my primary choice. I'm gonna be hugely interested what monsters I'll be encountering on the adventure. Nothing incites more than the anticipation of getting ever closer to a boss door and discovering what horror lies beyond it.

Okay, so I deleted my earlier post because I wanted to put some actual thoughts down now that I have some time to do so.
>Voice Actors While certainly not the most important thing ever, I've always had fun noticing when certain people keep popping up, and I'm curious if Bloodstained will go with relative newcomers, or if Hayter is any indication, if we can expect industry regulars like Laura Bailey and Troy Baker to show up.
>Crafting and Forging We've gotten so little information on the crafting system and I'm just itching to know what it's actually going to be like. Will it be like Dawn of Sorrow? Curse of Darkness? Something entirely new? I've got my own predictions and I still really want to know how the crafting is going to work and how prominent it's going to be.
>Playable characters Who doesn't want to know who the other playable characters are? Having more than one playable character has almost always been a good time in IGA's previous games (and in some cases I like the alternate character even more than the main one *cough*TrevorBelmontInCurseOfDarkness*cough*) and though I'm 99% sure Zangetsu will be one of them, I'm dying to know who the other is. Dominique? Johaness? Oh the suspense!
>Environments This is very key for me, as one of the issues I had with some of the past IGAvania titles was how a Castle, no matter how lovingly detailed, only has so many ways to make it look different. The existence of the Galleon Minerva and Cursed Village gives me hope that we'll also get places like Caves or a Greenhouse on top of places like a Cathedral, Clock Tower or Alchemy Laboratory. I'm not expecting lots of areas outside the castle like CoD or OoE, no haunted forests or dragon-patrolled mountains, but more variety within the castle will be important for me. >Weapons and items And of course, the weapon variety. I'm very anxious about how weapons will play out, since its not uncommon for IGA's games to have weapons that are SUPER cool but also weak and don't stand up in the endgame, like the Whipsword and Pistols from Aria and the Nebula from Portrait. We know thus far the Backer Katana and Whipsword are endgame weapons, but I'm hoping every kind of weapon has a powerful, late game version so every player can have what they want. Swords, Guns, Spears, Whips, every kind of weapon should be viable.

Connecting him with those? Or should be do it himself sort of? Or perhaps 505? Stuff like that are too hazy. But figurines are always cool to see. I own two, and both are the Todd McFarlane ones on Alien and Predator. I can't stand funko pop stuff since it is so out of context most of the time (not always). They are giving those away in some companies here, "buy something, get this for free!" - because very small % of the Swedish folks likes kawaii and watered down versions of awesome characters.

It would be 505, with agreement from ArtPlay, and specifically Angel's own responsibility. Fangamer makes and sells their own things instead of getting other companies to use the licenses they have. Since Angel manages the brand of Bloodstained, he (as well as ArtPlay) would be the ones that would have direct communication with toy makers. That's how I understand it.

My guess too. If this is the case. Angel might see how the community responds to the game and characters once its "out there" for the public. Even though fans want this and that, it really comes down to numbers. A statue or figurine of Miriam would be very cool. And same goes with Alucard, which you and I talked about here.
