Ok, I'll give this a whirl!
1. Plot heavy, I'd love to see this engine be taken as far as possible, plus we are establishing a new story, we don't have the comfort of a nes instruction manual to leave us guessing.
2. I'm not sure I get what you mean. She certainly looks that blend of attractive and "tough enough for protagonist" given the setting. If you mean bonus costumes, I think I could see a Miriam where her outfit was similiar, but selected from a more modern setting. Miriam as sort of a kogal with bike shorts under the skirt might work. But any outfit, needs a point. Simply showing off her skin would be a mixed bag, unless you are showing a Miriam so crystallized to the point of being no longer resembling a human. Because as a human, she has crystal leprosy, stained glass psoriasis. Rainbow sprinkle hives. I wouldn't complain, but on the other hand, it's not the first thing I'd picture her in.
3. Yes it should, otherwise the shop seems small and only a venue for potions. I'd love to see it have a use other than that, like limited charms, or a use in other game modes.
4. Never saw soul steal as alucard's signature. More like an i win button. Dark metamorpisis, sure. I am sure a similar common power will end up being Miriams.
5. Areas big enough to have a boss, please.
6. I'm sure morte will be a common enemy, but signature, im not certain. It does have a leg up on the skeleton with multiple attacks and being goop, more like a skeleton and zombie's son
7. This is tough one to answer, given we do not know the story of this game. But I think either can work. One regarding alchemy struggle to be known throughout the ages. I'd like to know where Miriam's story takes her. Perhaps it regularly gets lost, only to be discovered by certain people, and her creation is part of its cycle. Perhaps she locks it away, only for a vital piece to slip into another's hands. Maybe a game from the other side of the world, the story of a alchemic demon seeking the power to escape into the real world, might be in order? I would not know, IGA seems to do best fighting on the side of humanity, in my opinion.
8. Yes, I have to admit though, the female protagonist is when I was sold. Different protagonists usually get me interested, and Miriam took the cake.
9. Yes, provided it was a game I found interesting. I'm not sure if I would back it as heavily, but I would at least take a look. I like his approach to games and characters, and feel it a style that has been lost in today's market.
10. They haven't revealed a thing involving miriam's curse...Surely something so important needs to be involved in the gameplay as well. Maybe its something about that moon that gets bloodied when she gets hurt? I'm not sure.
11. Badly Written? Well, Miriam beats the bad guys and destroys the demon castle, but soon dies from her injuries. Johannes cries and professes his love for her, suddenly, the crystal crack from his tears, and shatter, revealing her having just woken up, the power of love has saved the day.
12. Have her be powered by anatomical hearts for her attacks, of course!
13. The little girl who minds the shop with Dominique(Anne), maybe have her pick up alchemy thanks to everyone's visits. And in the sequel, have her be the reason alchemy survives, for good or bad.
14. I think miriam might be magic heavy. But I wouldn't mind a balance. I want to make those shoes work.
15. Basic items, then exclusive armor and weapons. Because those you can only buy once. Potions you buy forever.(or until you can clear to save points like a boss.)
16. Wings. She needs wings. High jumps into the cieling are silly, and I don't think a transformstion would suit her(she is trying to stave off transformation)
17. Dominique might be a good choice, given her traveling away from the shop... but Gebel would surprise me greatly.
18.Dominique by a pint. Its not even a contest...
