What happens after you say? Why the mass throwing of wine glasses in spite of the publishers who said no to IGA. (╯°□°)╯︵(\ .o.)\

I really hope they continue to work on Bloodstained and it turns out to be a series, one game isn't enough to satisfy my thirst of new Castlevanias.

If there is enough space left over in the plot for more in the next game, then a sequel will be warranted. IGA will be experimenting a lot with powers and new enemy design with Ritual of the Night, and having such a huge castle means he'll need to try new things and see what works.

If it becomes a series, I hope it takes from the old Castlevanias where the games are far apart in the timeline every time to be able to contain their own stories. I also hope they keep the pseudo-real world connections intact. I liked how every game in CV and would use actual mythologies and locations from our world.
EDIT: Thinking about it some more, it is pretty much a given considering how much thought Igarashi put into making Bloodstained's setting on that era of time.

I had always loathe the idea of DLC I rather have a full game instead of DLC I'd rather have a decently priced expansion pack, I miss those. Greatest expansion imo was The Frozen Throne for Warcraft 3. In the case of bloodstained, looking at all the content and features it has.. It probably doesn't need any dlc.

For me, that is like a whole new game, the frozen throne. if that is what I can get as DLC , that is what I call worth the money

I must be one of the ones that doesn't mind DLC, but only if it adds significantly to the game and was an afterthought to the game. The ones that were just cut out features for a money grab I do dislike. Basically full expansions are my favorite that may as well be a full (or at least mini game) on its own. Dragon Age Awakening comes to mind for that part. To my understanding that is what the retro mini game will be, albeit free to us but pay to others.

What happened to the days where game developers put their all into a game so people felt they got their moneys worth? Now it's half a game for full price, and DLC to make extra $$$. I hate DLC, but I have no choice but to use it now. Rather than making them an unlockable, you have to pay for it.

I stopped buying brand new AAA releases on launch for this very reason, I mean look at how much pre-order, retailer exclusive crap Batman Arkham Knight had.. No thanks →_→

So, my conclusion for Bloodstained when it's released Never put DLC, just make a full game out of it If they need more time because of this, let them have it Because that is what makes a game full of rewards

Hear, hear. More run with digital games than with physical games, by a mile. You can take care of physical assets to keep them in peak condition. Digital versions ... don't trust them. Around 18 months ago, I downloaded Steam and bought a cheap, fun game from it (Worms: Revolution). The game itself was fine but I always had to be online to play it ... which basically sucked! Due to that reason, I uninstalled Steam and, hey presto, the game disappeared with it Now, I don't know what direction Steam has gone since then and I really don't care to be quite honest but I'm certainly not keen on online gaming. That's an issue with some games (both physical and digital) and not exclusive to Steam (for example, Diablo 3 by Blizzard requires an online connection to play), and I'm pretty sure most of the games on Steam can be played offline. Furthermore, once you download them, if the games don't require a connection to play, you can go in the middle of the woods with a laptop and no internet connection whatsoever and still play the games. I'm sorry about your experience, but please don't blame Steam for it. I'm looking at the store page for Worms: Revolution, and under system requirements it says "Other requirements: Broadband internet connection." Also, if you log back into your Steam account, the game should still be there, as you paid for it. That doesn't fix the "must be online" issue, but if you ever want the game back, just reinstall Steam and log in. If you do start buying games through Steam or GoG, watch for those that require things like Origin and UPlay, as, if recollection serves, they require you to either be online during game launch, or online the whole time. I can't remember which, but it's a pain in the butt that makes me avoid games with those attached, as my connection isn't the greatest. EDIT: Responded to this before reading the rest of the thread, and saw another poster had also used D3 as an example.

We all play it I assume.
On a more serious note, maybe Bloodstained 2 kickstarter?
