I am currently playing an Augmented Reality Game developed by a Google start up company, Niatic Labs. This game uses the power of Google Maps to generate the gaming world where players could choose to be in one of the two factions: Enlightened or Resistence. The factions battle for territory and resources by claiming portals (generated by player submitted landmark locations and photos).
Is anyone else playing, too? If you guys are, which faction do you belong in? I am a part of the Resistance!

I'm L6 Resistance, but I haven't played in about a year. Too much getting in the car to drive to some remote place for a game. I also had the cops called on me once.

After watching the video, that looks like a pretty interesting game, if not a bit complicated, but I'm sure you can get the hang of it fast enough once you do start. That might make for a fun reason to actually go out of my house when it's not for work or grocery shopping... I'm not really a fan of pointless walks.

It's too bad, hearing about the cops. In case of it actually happening (knock on wood), a good Samaritan wrote up document on how to deal with them: Contact With Law Enforcement.I am fortunate enough to be working in a location that contains a gigantic cluster of portals, so I get a good amount of AP everyday I work. |

Im deep in green territory with no help and few portals. Hack and blast all of their resos and portals! Before you know it, you'll level up to 10+ and then you'll really do some territory owning!! |

Looks pretty blue, but with healthy competition which is necessary for both teams to grow. Agreed!! A member from the other faction offered to help me farm and level up. I think at the end of the day, we have to work with each other to get strong enough to be self sufficient. |
