Oh I don't disagree that there are more non cel shaded games to complain about than there are cel shaded ones. What I mean by unique is having the style fit the games theme while still standing out as a piece of art. Naruto is a great example of good cel shading, but I wouldn't call it unique. It's very much what you would expect because its trying to mimic the show. Guilty gear is amazing because of the technical feat achieved. Its the holy grail of making something truly look 2D with 3D assets. But then there's games like borderlands which are cel shaded, but use crosshatching for the shadows and a broken weight outline. Its not the most advanced system in the world but it serves its purpose perfectly and it iconic. I want bloodstained to be iconic! Here's a random example. What if the characters and environments were cel shaded, but everything in the shadows was realistic and gothic? Almost like the light was filtered through oh I dunno, a stained glass window =) Yessssss! I can definitely and totally picture that ♪☆\(^0^\) ♪(/^-^)/☆
