IGA must love that it's based around Castlevania 3 ( I think it was one of his favs) and that it uses the look of SOTN's alucard more than his look in 3. Adi Shankar is a huge fan of SOTN. |

On another note:.......Why is Alucard sleeping shirtless?! XD Maybe it's there to as a small detail to help show his human side and have the audience relate to him. Speaking from personal experience, it's both comfy and a totally normal thing to do. "Ohh, the vampire guy sleeps like I do! That helps me relate to him on a personal level." It's also good to hear everyone at ArtPlay liked the trailer! Hopefully they'll have enough time in their schedules to watch the whole season. I'd like to know what they think. I also realized it'll probably be a little while before I can watch Netflixvania for myself. SGDQ 2017 is going on week it comes out and I'll want to watch/catch up on as much of that as I can, and I'm going to a con that same weekend. |

Here's some art for it coming out of Japan -  I wonder if the voice at the very end is of Trevor's or Alucard's......I gotta say if it's Alucard they got the perfect voice actor, sounds very similar to Robbie Belgrade! I love everything about the trailer, from the haunting music in the beginning that felt very Castlevania, to the imagery and framing of shots. The skeletons all impaled on the field ..."Vlad the impaler"....it looks damned beautiful. I'm so happy the artwork turned out great as it was my biggest concern. It's what I always envisioned a Castlevania cartoon would be like.....also...as if I need to mention it but MAN AM I SO DAMNED PUMPED THAT ALUCARD IS IN THIS  They will do him justice. So in. |

Being a hardcore fan of the games and knowing that an animated series cannot 100% bring me back to feeling it the same way , the trailer looks VERY hype worthy and I must say I am impressed. Will be looking forward to July now. I hope they can built upon the original story and deliver to the expectations of many.

I just watched that trailer and i was going to create a thread about it, but purifyweirdshard was faster than me. I loved the trailer. it looks really promising! It is great the Artplay, Mana, IGA, liked it! Now, let me check something: TREVOR BELMONT? CHECK  SYPHA BELNADES? CHECK ALUCARD? CHECK  DRACULA? CHECK 
Where is GRANT DANASTY? Maybe he will not show up at the first season? Or he was adapted out? The first talk about a Castlevania Animation, also based on Castlevania 3, there was this idea of removing Grant from it, simply because the creator at the time disliked the character. I hope that is not the case here. |

Doesn't seem like Trevor to me, so I think he's Grant, albeit with a bit of a different design (which would be fine by me, I always thought Grant to be a little out of place from a design standpoint)  |

I hope that is not the case here. Warren Ellis has said he can't take the name seriously, which is fair. However, he said Grant wouldn't be completely removed, just not in the first part of the planned film trilogy. Grant would likely be renamed "properly" as a member of the lineage of Wallachian voivodes that rivaled Vlad's, a Dănești (though I believe Warren Ellis spelled it Dinesti). Under the original plan, he would have been in the second film, so I suppose if Grant does make it in this season, he won't appear until one of the later episodes. |
