Which means the story is completed!! Not necessarily. Maybe it just means that they're ready to record the demo they're showing on this E3, which is what I'd bet.

Here's to hoping that we get to download and play said demo after E3. It's probably a vain hope, but I'd like to get my scaly green hands on any and all samples of gameplay before the actual finished game is released.

I doubt a demo will be provided with any more support than was provided last time until we get to the Beta release. I'd think whether they decide to provide the demo to backers will be somewhat related to how smoothly that went for them last time. I'd think that they'd want to based on the feedback that they got from backers trying it out, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

They themselves had said they want to try to get demos out at major events. Their new twitter post says they finished Saturday recordings and we should hear it at E3.
So possible demo? Honestly I could see us finally getting a trailer for the game. E3 trailer.

Honestly I could see us finally getting a trailer for the game. E3 trailer. There are quite a few games that I'd like to see announced/talked about at E3, but... honestly? If IGA & co. release a trailer for Bloodstained at this year's E3, I personally think that it would be the best one of the whole event. It would hopefully achieve more exposure for the game, possibly reaching out to Castlevania fans who've yet to hear of it, especially if the words "spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night" are mentioned. It would certainly be more memorable (to me) than anything else possibly announced at E3 2017.

The announcement doesn't even need to mention spiritual successor. Just saying the daddy of SOTN is bringing his own game to the world, and on E3 of all stages, will travel across the whole globe.

But if they could do both, that is ofc the best of both worlds.

Just seems like a good time. If they plan to release it next year, what better time to do an actual announcement trailer than this years E3? Gotta promote it outside the Kickstarter fans.

I hope they get Hank Azaria to do Miriam's voice. Reading that made me want Dan Castellaneta as Zangetsu while using his Groundskeeper Willie voice, and now nothing will ever live up to that. The announcement doesn't even need to mention spiritual successor. Just saying the daddy of SOTN is bringing his own game to the world, and on E3 of all stages, will travel across the whole globe. Just seems like a good time. If they plan to release it next year, what better time to do an actual announcement trailer than this years E3? Gotta promote it outside the Kickstarter fans. Agreed on both points. Marketing Bloodstained as a SOTN/Castlevania successor was great for the Kickstarter, but when promoting the game for wider audiences at events like E3, it's probably better to market it as its own thing and stand on its own legs. I'm looking forward to what IGA and ArtPlay will bring to E3 this year. Last year I didn't think there'd be a demo, and there ended up being one. I think it's okay to get hyped and raise my expectations for something.

Goobsausage In that case, Billy West should do his Zoidberg voice for Dominique.

With the conformation of the Japanese audio being recorded, im eager to see when the english voice cast is hired. Given the setting is in Europe, I hope they go the route of Xenoblade chronicles for the Wii/N3DS and hire voice actors of English descent. It would really help with making the fast feel authentic and fit their setting.

Speaking of languages and such. I was first thinking we could have Goofball's voice when entering a cheatcode or password of some kind. Then realize we could have him visually in that menu too, hehe. Goofball with silly cheat codes. That would be a nice connection. And about the voice. I can't see how Goofball would make him intelligent enough to actually speak and more be about noises and grunts some how. How do you guys feel about Goofball? Elegent english accent? Wide Texas accent? Perhaps a posh german/english accent with a hint of insanity? I would like him to have all of the voice casts "within him", because if its just grunts and such, they could make him a living mixerboard of bloopers from the voice actors too perhaps. I dunno Curious however.

Such serious pushing for goofball.
I wonder if for certain lines they give the voice actor context? And how do they do it if so?

I don't know who the English equivalent would be. Bruce Campbell, maybe? I always wanted Bruce Campbell to be the English VA for Johnny from Guilty Gear, but I digress.

As much as I also like this idea, I'm a bit worried that British actors (depending on what you exactly mean by "of English descent") would give the characters accents that wouldn't quite fit. Spoken English in 18th-Century England was actually closer to spoken American English today ("perfect"; without accent), rather than "Queen's English". Here's two posts from a past Miriam voice-actor thread: 25542 and 25551. It's possible that the only character with an actual accent when speaking English might be Zangetsu.

ChucklesTheJester gets it. That's exactly why I suggested Wakamoto for Goofball earlier lol. He did something very similar in Azumanga Daioh as Chiyo's dad and he's the original Dracula voice, so...PERFECT. edit: English Wakamoto is...still Wakamoto, see above "OH, I AM a bird!!"

Here's two posts from a past Miriam voice-actor thread: 25542 and 25551. It's possible that the only character with an actual accent when speaking English might be Zangetsu. This is true I suppose, but then again Bayonetta has a modern english accent but in the first game she wakes from a 500 year sleep in modern day New York. While it might not make the most sense, given the info you've told me, it doesn't change the fact that the accent really does help make her character stand out among the rest of her games cast. It's also one of the reasons why she stands out in Smash Bros. as well. Maybe I just want them to have english accents, sans Zangetsu obviously, simply because I'm just so TIRED of hearing American accents in gaming. I know people can't really hear their own accents normally, but after playing games like Bayonetta and Xenoblade Chronicles, it's something i've begun to notice a lot, annoyingly so. So yeah I would much rather the cast of Bloodstained have english accents because there are so few games that do have N on-American english voice acting, it could really help Bloodstained stand out in that regard. That and English Accents are just so pleasant on the ears, an Englishman could be talking about anything, anything at all, and its like smooth warm butter being spread over freshly made toast ... god im hungry. I'm gonna go make my self some buttered toast.
