Yeah I know it's a little bit early to talk about this since the game has just begun the development. But considering they're using 3D modeling in the background and 2D rendering (referred as 2.5D), I'm thinking about my laptop may not have enough juice to run Bloodstained at full speed. It can barely handle Ori and the Blind Forest in 1366*768 at 60FPS...
My laptop is an Acer Aspire 4750G (a 4-year-old model which is bought by my parents for celebrating my admission of university, now I'm graduated). i5-2410M & GT540M, with 8GB RAM and SSD (I added them later for better performance).
So what do you think about the recommended requirements, guys?

This game is using unreal 4 which tends to be a semi-demanding engine. I can speculate based off of other unreal 4 games I have played and factoring in the type of game it is.
Minimum (probably 720p)
i3/i5 processor 4gb of ram Radeon R7 250 / Geforce GT 740 or better
Recommended (1080p+)
i5/i7 processor 8gb of Ram Radeon R9 270 / Geforce GTX 760 or better

Maybe higher if you want to run resolutions like 4k but I think that will be adequate for 1080p gameplay.

In 2015 it seems a bit much but technology is always progressing 4k will probably be the new HD standard in several years.

It's not like the game is an open world GTA-like. Hell, even in The Witcher 3 there isn't much difference between i7/i5, actually the only game that has some is GTA V. That's why a i5 2500k, a Sandy Bridge from 4 years ago is still enough for gaming. The GPU requirements sounds realistic though.

Well, it's only a prediction but it still possible for a i7 processor to be the recommended one this game will be released in another 2 years

I just realized something. Bloodstained's newly announced E3 demo should give a pretty good idea at what the PC requirements will be.
Do game system requirements often change between their demo/beta and final release? Or do they stay the same all throughout development?

By right it will change, the Demo/Beta will be the minimum requirement specs for people who will be playing it on PC because the Demo/Beta is like the foundation of the game there imo

depends on the studio and the reason, if the point is 'look how pretty our graphics are!' then itll be run on high settings (but usually they do a trailer instead for that because they can manipulate what you see for max effect), if the point is 'we will melt your puny graphics card!', then ultra settings and you pretty much have to buy a new state of the art pc to run that one game, if the point is 'look how well our game plays!' then likely low to mid settings for an easy bar of entry and it also makes the game look that much better when you are playing the full version with more settings or optimized for console

I am glad i bought a new PC last year, well things are incredibly expensive here (Brazil), specially with the dollar going up to the roof last year and the current economic crisis, so the best i could do was get a FX-6300 and a R7 260X. unfortunately i have only 4GB RAM, but i can upgrade it and i might will, anyway i can play GTA V, Fallout 4 or anything i have tested so far pretty fine. I hope they just don't downgrade it to make it playable for more systems, however it would be great if it runs on cheap intel on-board gpus even if at 30 fps on the lowest settings so more people can play it.
Anyway let's wait for the demo so we will get the first references for the system requirements.

I hope my PC can handle the demo and/or the game...Or that i get a JOB before the game comes out!

Think of the current gen consoles as a baseline, since it will be released for the XBOne and the PS4. Multicore processor (1.6 gHz min speed), 4 GB of RAM (The memory in these systems is divided between OS operations, video RAM assets and game logic so I won't put the whole 8 GB), AMD R7 260X with at least 2 GB of dedicated video memory space (Xbox One vid card equivalent, basically lowest spec vid card, believe that a NV 740 would be the Geforce minimum) and due to the assets and models, plus sound, game logic and any extras included on disk expect a 4 to 6 GB install. Those are my predictions based on real world available hardware. These new consoles are basically tablets with beefed up video cards.

So what do you think about the recommended requirements, guys? Ori and the Blind forest used sprites for their characters, as well as several other 2d assets in the environment. Typically, that would mean it's a less demanding game than a game that uses 3d models for everything (Bloodstained), however you can never really tell.
