"No spoiler" policy the first couple of days?

yeah, i generally say if it involves story, boss drops, hidden areas, secrets, or place names that reference story events (like if you defeated drac in cv 1 and you found out frankenstein was the big bad all along and the final area was listed as madmans dynamo but everything about the marketing and promotion put drac up as your big bad) then yeah, definitely spoilertag it

It would be in everyone's interest to discuss about the game in private...
After that, if people check spoiler threads and complain about it, there won't be much to defend them/for them to defend themselves, if:

- We post a spoiler tag, preferably at the beginning of a thread, or as an icon next to a thread's title (but yeah, curiosity killed the cat);
- We hide sensitive information (communication via pm for all enthusiasts would be great);
- We keep a separate zone they access still, despite all risks;
- They were spoiled via other peeps.

The same goes for walkthroughs.
About people complaining about Let's Play videos bring spoilers, it's also almost unavoidable by then.

That said...

Well, a search is asking for it and I never use that "recent" feature myself, so I guess I don't commonly think of that. I think that topics especially for/that guarantee spoilers will be happening a bit once the game is out, though, and it'll be quite a pain for folks to spoiler tag an entire story discussion thread for every post.

A specialized Discord room for it, even better, maybe.

Otherwise, I would maybe just discourage use of the "Recent" feature. Eventually (and even now, if you ask me), there's just too much to be able to actually read everything. Some things you might otherwise really care about, you would skim over in that long string of "oh God there's this much stuff that's new".

This is pretty much my life, yes. You didn't include the part where I edit my post 3 times really quickly after I post it.

All I use is recent and notifications. All day, every day.
