will you be using the r rating to play to the gothic, baroque, and horror stengths that make up the world of castlevania and breathe undeath into the chaotic creature that is the castle in equal part to (if not more) than the violence and probable nudity?
things such as monsters that are both alluring and grotesque with personalities and lore that draw you in beyond boss of the level and invite you to delve deeper, backdrops that have this train wreck quality like a torture chamber that makes you want to puke or a chapel that just has this pervasive air of something lurking among the pillaged adornments (whether anythings actually there or not), that reward those who look further into the rabbit hole (injokes, homages, further lore, darker train wrecks >P, stuff like that)

*Stares at Astaroth for a little bit. Gets frozen, regains his senses then hastily retraces his steps back* Joke aside, I do concur that the environment can play a particular effect... mist, dampness, shadows, creaks... (I leave aside the thunder and the rain since they've been so overused, to the point they're just... required for maximum effect). The CV game that I felt used the most of it was Super Castlevania IV. The tight playability only contributed to this. I felt danger at every corner, even in the Treasury (Simon Belmont not being -so- greedy, that was wonderful a sight*). Mr. Shankar should profit of all these possibilities for a great result. I do feel he already thought of it, but yeah, confirming doesn't hurt. *I liked to collect money bags. Sweet regretted Hi-score of yore. I'm like an old man that nags. |

Have you watched Captain N: The Game Master before? Are you intimidated by having to live up to such a high standard in Castlevania tv shows? Now there's a blast from the past. It would be a real shame if they couldn't live up to those standards. I wonder if they'll follow this formula and include characters from other games as well. |

But imagine if Miriam showed up. It would blow our minds. Konami can never redeem itself in my eyes... but it would definitely be a step in the right direction if they allowed that. I doubt Iga would let that happen tho. |

Are the events of Lament of Innocence going to be referenced at all? A bigger version of this and the Hector/Isaac question... is this series going to acknowledge the canon of games that came out well after Cv3 that would retroactively have an impact of the events within? I.E. The origin of the Belmont Clan/Dracula, and characters that other games claimed were present. We know events described in SoTN will be used, anything beyond that?

I want to make the question I posed more precise. Note I am not asking if each of the examples will be included, just giving an idea of what kind of retro active continuity I am referring to.
Will there be any acknowledgments/references to aspects of the canon from later in the series that retoactively affected the story of Castlevania 3, other than the Lisa storyline from Symphony of the Night(1997)? For example,
1. The Devil forgemasters Isaac and Hector as seen in Curse of Darkness(2005).
2. The origin of the Belmonts as monster hunters, the vampire killer whip, and Dracula as shown in Lament of Innocence(2003).
3. Chaos as the source of Dracula's powers, and the whole dark lord concept laid out in Aria of Sorrow(2003) and Dawn of Sorrow(2005).
