Will the physical retail normal version be expected to sell at AAA prices $60 or a little cheaper $40?
I would rather buy it physical at $40 at retail normal physical than back the special edition at $60 physical.
I have not backed it yet because I want to do some more research.

well, the backer edition has backer specific content that wont be in the retail copies, and if you back a physical copy through slackerbacker iga will receive more of the 60 you pay as opposed to the 40-60 you might pay when it hits store shelves due to stores getting a cut of that money too
personally my opinion is splurge for the backer copy so iga will get a larger cut and be able to make the game that much better now rather than wait, even if buying after release will add to sales numbers and show investors and 'journalists' that the demand is there for iga to continue making great games as long as he wants

What bonus items does the physical special edition backer copy have? I hear that it has special DLC for a hidden boss in a hidden room that drops a special Sword-Whip and it has a slipper case or something. Can you confirm?

SPECIAL BACKER EDITION PHYSICAL COPY A physical copy of the game for XBOX ONE, PS4, or STEAM (PC/Mac/Linux). Includes exclusive backer-only content and a special Kickstarter-exclusive slipcase! thats exactly how itll work, backing the game will add to igas coffers now while he makes bloodstained, and once the game is finished the final game will be sent out to to stores and put on steam/eshop/psn/mss/gog/whatever and any sales will go towards extra profit/sales figures going forward the main difference between a kickstarter game and any other game is kickstarter WE are the investors that put up the money as opposed to the publisher/corporation that slaps their logos all over the game box and promotional stuff >P

Yes, to reiterate an important piece Asty brought up here: IGA and co. get a much larger cut (the majority) of that $60 now as opposed to the $60 you will pay when the game is on shelves. That would be split between several more parties and not directly contribute to the quality of this game.

I see. Does $28 get you Beta Access?

I see. Does $28 get you Beta Access? Nope. Like I replied in the other thread, you need to get the PC version(Steam or GOG) at the $60 tier or higher to get access to the Beta.

I don't see why this game couldn't be priced at $60. Going from what they've promised this game will be filled with modes, features, content and hours and hours of playtime. Just because it's in 2D or backed on Kickstarter doesnt mean it can't be priced at $60. Hell, I already paid $60 for a backer physical edition!

Now you convince me to back for physical at $60. I trust it'll be worth it. And, for what its worth, I actually backed for $100! I started at $60 for the physical release but a few days before the campaign ended I upgraded to $100 but I'm all about that physical disc and game box!

Is it possible to request the steam version to get beta access, then after you have beta access change your copy of the game to a system that won't get beta access, or is it too late by then?

Just skip the Wii U version since that may get canned.
