A question had been raised not long ago as to who exactly would be doing the localization work for Bloodstained. I'm assuming that 505 will handle this one way or another, but that may or may not be the case?
In looking at their previously published Japanese games, in all cases I can see, there was an existing NA English translation from companies like XSeed, Atlus or Aksys Games...with the one exception of an EU-only port of a Naruto Shippuden game on the 3DS.
It's something pretty important in my opinion that we've not touched on much at all. Mistranslations and/or typos especially really bother me and break my enjoyment of a game. We did see quite a few errors of the sort in the demo, but that was certainly to be expected given the circumstances.
I would fix all of this/type out loads of flavor text for free if I was given the chance, lol. I love that stuff. My occupation is a medical transcriptionist, so I have a lot of experience with correctness...and typing a lot.
Anyway, I wanted to bring some amount of light to this for discussion. As we're establishing a new franchise here, I think that there will be more of an emphasis on telling a story than usual. Hopefully, that story is handled with the care it deserves!

One interesting tidbit I've noticed lately that partially prompted this topic is that I saw Degica Games was following the official Bloodstained account on Twitter. They are a smaller localization company, mostly porting lesser known bullet hell, visual novel and fighting games from Japan on Steam. I thought that was interesting, but they may just be fans? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degica

It I were a betting hydra (which I'm not), XSeed is the likeliest candidate. With Senran Kagura, Fate/Extrella, Ys games and a slew more (Touhou being one of them) brought or upcoming to outside Japan, I feel they are the go to guys to an international release.

I'm not sure I can take a guess. Is it (original text) being written in english, or in japanese? Xseed has a good reputation on making faithful translations, but if the origin language is english, I would like to be able to choose voice and text packs Not out of Japanophile but because I can't bear spanish-translated outsider puns.
Also, I'm sure as hell I don't want Degica Games translating or becoming involved with the production efforts of Bloodstained. I am currently having a hell of a time with their tech support regarding one of their translated products, that is making me a very sad and very financially strangled person.

In fact, if your problem is of a technical nature, it's almost definitely not Degica you have a beef with. Do you imagine that IGA is going to let Degica, XSEED or anyone else do engine work on his game? Of course not. They'll provide the localization, and that's it. The only time I recall seeing localization companies to work on the game itself is when it was a console port, or way back when Japanese developers barely even recognized the existence of customers outside their borders.

I'm normally not too harsh on how correct a translation is, (I hardly play games for the story to begin with) but for Bloodstained's sake I hope it does get an excellent translation. Some engrish would be fun to have but this game needs every advantage it can get to be a resounding success because, I believe, this game will directly influence what we see in a AAA market for quite some time and probably get some indie igavanias more attention.

Degica didn't make RPG Maker. Unless your problem is with the way it was translated, your beef should be with Enterbrain. Of course, that doesn't mean you shouldn't pursue a refund if you're unhappy with the product, but it has no bearing on Degica as a company, as they aren't the ones that would need to patch it.
