If you could mix and match the feel of components to different games to make Bloodstained, what would they be? Feel free to add categories like; music, art, cut scene style, level system, powers, weapon system, etc. Any non IGA game is fine too.
I'll start, but this is subject to change depending on what I like from your replies. I'd like the castle design from SotN with that level of detail in the backgrounds and foreground, and the random interactive things just placed there for establishing mood and sett8ng. I'd like the flexibility of different areas from Portrait of Ruin. Maybe not hopping through paintings, but a good variety of different levels. I'd like the platforming from Guacamelee, but not as focused on this to the point where it feels more like the focus of the game is platforming puzzles as Guacamelee does. I'd like the majority of cut scenes to zoom in on the characters the way Guacamelee does. I'd like a good animated intro and ending, like SotN did with it's intro only cutting edge quality. I'm torn between wanting combat from SotN or the combat from Dust. Dust also has an item collection system that might be useful if tweaked to include weapons in a way that fits Bloodstained. I'd like to see the in game art quality of Child of Light.

Why not a combination of the SotN and Dust combat systems? There's no reason that familiars couldn't combine with attacks and there's no reason that weapons couldn't have combos. And maybe the way you offset that is that some weapons are simple and only have a straight forward attack, and others while they may or may not do as much or more damage allow you to perform combos that CAN rack up quickly. I would DEFINITELY like to see the dual hand system from SotN again. That always made combat VERY fun trying to mix and match the different qualities, abilities, and attack styles of the different weapons.
I wouldn't mind have button combination based spells, but maybe what you do is pick a few VERY simple very well known combinations and you allow each of them to be assigned to specific spells. i.e. the standard roll forward + attack would have a group of spells associated with ranged attacks. But a move like hold back, tap forward + attack could be group of COMPLETELY Different defensive spells. Hold forward, tap back + attack could be close attack spells. But only simple combos like that. ABSOLUTELY nothing complicated or with more than say 2-3 steps i.e. dir->dir->button dir->dir+button button->dir->button hold button->dir and the like. Each combo would have it's own unique group of spells that could be assigned to it. The spells could come from books/scrolls/other items or challenges found through out the castle.
Other than that I'm pretty much drawing a blank other than basic SotN stuff... I'm sure I'll think of more.

All I have to add is the visual graphical style of Guilty Gear Xrd. I was REALLY blown away the first time I saw it.
Because if we're doing 2.5D that looks like 2D spritework, we might as well take cues from the absolute BEST in that regard.

Too hard! I mostly want an updated SotN though. . . Classic music with some awesome rock and a choir. Gothic art, tons of ornate and ostentatious decor. Smooth battle flow with button combos for extra attacks or spells. Anime Cutscenes, Vampire Hunter D comes to mind.

SOTN: Castle Design, Music, Sound design ( the sound the fire makes when bosses die was boss), gameplay systems ( two hand equipping, relics, input spells, visual changes like capes and shields)
Aria/Dawn : Soul system to get more spells, I also loved the weird creature spotting function.... where you'd find stuff like a YETI but it will leave the screen if you aren't quick enough. Some really cool weather effects ( Dawn's snow area, and Aria's lightning swirling storms)
Portrait of Ruin: The quests to get some new abilities was pretty cool. Mix of whips and swords which bloodstained is already doing thankfully.
Order of Ecclesia: Tough boss battles, some nice visual design choices, the castle layout while not all that great was absolutely beautiful to look at in terms of design. If you took the looks/design of this game and mixed it with how the layout of SOTN's CASTLE it would be amazing.
