I haven't read up on what multiplayer is supposed to be like yet in this game, but what if multiplayer was modeled after Castlevania HD from Xbox Live? Did anyone else besides me love that game? I don't see why a multiplayer like that couldn't coexist with the main story mode metroidvania that we already know we're getting. Two separate modes of course, since the gameplay structure and strategies are different between the two.
Your thoughts?

I wouldn't mind that, but at the same time I feel it could fun to bring my friends into my own castle. Though a mode like what we had in castlevania HD would definitely be better if I'm playing with more then one person

Honestly I'd just slightly prefer to have free roam in a big castle with a friend or two (in roguelike mode as well). HoD style is really fun though so it is 100% acceptable in my book.

The list of games I can honestly say I enjoyed more than Harmony of Despair is less than the number of fingers on one hand. Despite the fact that it ultimately boiled down to a mind-numbingly repetitive grind, I would do it all over again if they released it fresh on Steam. So, yeah, if they find a way to emulate what HoD achieved, I would go nuts. Certainly more appealing than if they tried to figure out a way to make the single-player experience support co-op; I personally feel that would simply break single-player.

Ok honestly...I really hope not because HD looks so awkward from the gameplay I've seen. I hope you can search for other players and go through the castle as you normally would. :/

Could be a good idea for a multiplayer mode. Only things I didn't like about Harmony of Despair though was the bleeding time limit and the reliance on stingy RNG.

Those both were very painful. never get two valmanway+1's or the sonic boots in my 200ish hours of play I really enjoyed the soul farming ok >.> Then I really enjoyed all the spell casters and most the DLC characters, especially getsu fuma the only people I never really played were the whip users

From what I remember regarding this game's multiplayer there are a few modes that were brought up (not confirmed mind you, but brought up: -YOu'll see other player's tombstones in the castle -You can see a friend's phantom if they're in the same area -There is a competitive mode where you and an opponent rush to see who can get through a set area and beat a boss first -Saving and sharing dungeons in the Roguelike mode
Update 14 has a little on it as well
