To be fair, even if the assets are in 3D someone still has to paint the textures. So technically yes, they will be hand drawn =P you have to be so technical lol... the pre-pre-alpha they had was awesome the background was sooo cool XD

That first proof of concept video they showed was really encouraging. Looks like they're focusing on all the right things. And in a game like this, the parallax of the background elements is far more important than the technique used to create it. I can't wait for the next update!!!

Optimization, yo) I wouldn't count on it looking quite like xrd. Being a fighting game they had some advantages like only having to render two characters, two skeletons and one isolated stage at any time. I wouldn't expect the same model or animation fidelity as xrd, but it should still be able to look pretty awesome!

The sheer variety of modes! The main castle with exploratory and RPG elements, AND three fully fleshed-out playable characters to go through it. The classic linear mode, boss rush, offline and online co-op, randomly generated dungeons, and PLAYABLE BOSSES. The replay value on this game is gonna be HUGE. Couldn't have said it better myself As for me, I'm really excited because it's using unreal engine 4 and they will be able to create a most wonderful world for us to play in. The sky is the limit here!
